[The view is from the floor, of the ceiling of Julien's room in the hotel, which has a poem taped to it. You can hear the sound of his very deep breathing, noisier and more labored than usual.]
I can't get up. There was a pulse - something's gonna - [A white wing is briefly visible, flapping. It's another moment before he says anything.]
It hurts.

The parrots are doing quite well! They all seem to be thriving. Pedro still enjoys watching horror movies, and I suppose I shouldn't encourage him, for he does tend to quote things from them at inappropriate times. The Shining is still his favorite, but I've been gradually trying to draw him towards comedies. We tried Scary Movie. I am not certain he enjoyed it.
We both enjoyed The Birds, though, even if I'm afraid he might have gotten ideas from that one. He doesn't mean anyone any harm, though he's a very mischievous fellow. He likes playing pranks, even if most of the time, that just involves hiding some small item or another.

Don't watch... Birdemic unless you like movies really bad.

I'm hoping to someday find a movie that is entertainingly bad, has horror movie aspects, and is also a musical. I think everyone would be satisfied by that.

But the songs are good.

[Even if he's not much for gore, and even if he's not quite certain just how much the parrots understand when watching movies, they do seem to enjoy it.]

But we have seen some terrible movies as well. We're Back: A Dinosaur's Story was horribly inaccurate...can you tell us some to avoid?

...Not Twilight?

I don't think it would appeal to any of us, anyway. Pedro would lose interest once he realized it was a romance and not a horror movie. He did seem to enjoy the Bela Lugosi version of Dracula.

Do they do that often? Taking the titles of old movies and adding them to new ones that seem completely unrelated?
