Luca stiffened, his uncovered eye pivoting and locking onto Tony. The gas can fell from his hand as he crouched defensively; the young man he was impersonating seemed confident, and why shouldn't he? He'd caught him in the act, and if he had the power to back up that confidence...
The wisest course of action really did seem to turn tail and flee, stat, if Luca cared a thing for his life. And truly, he did. So he whipped around, sprinting back toward the chainlink fence, reaching for the pistol in his pocket. His thoughts were the same as Tony's in that a gunshot was a bad idea, but for a different reason: framing Tony was the objective, and if the kid was dead, then it shed some serious doubt on him being a firestarter... But if he had no other choice, he was prepared to do that to save his own scaly hide.
