Danielle was quiet for several moments before sitting back, taking Robyn's hands in her own. "You're exceptionally kind. You're hopeful, bright, and...and despite the fact you don't always believe in yourself, you still keep trying. Still keep fighting. We can't always help the bad situations we're in. That's life."

"But...being able to keep going despite that, to still keep that hope and not become bitter, that's actually a really, really hard thing to do." There was one thing she'd see a lot in the hospital. How bitter and angry people can become when they never got better. How hard it was to not be bitter herself some days.

"We don't always control what happens to us. But we control how we decide to react to it. And being able to go forward without being dragged down, that's really an amazing thing to do."
