Hey... it's Rakka.

[Indeed it is, complete with a tired smile and a little wave. She appeared to be on a couch in the Dians's place, the screen resting on her lap.]

So I've been thinking, about a lot of things. It's not like there is a lot going on, and I should probably be doing something about trying to fly and stuff. I already have a way to do it.

[The screen jerked as she turned it, eventually showing the rocket boots Octavia had created for her.] I just need to figure out how to do it with my wings.

[Still, she looked... conflicted. Her eyes went from the boots, to the screen and back. She let out a yawn.]

Maybe... I'll do it another time. It's really hot outside anyways.

[She can just put it off and watch anime, right?]

I might be able to help you. I've figured out a few things about mine.

You really can fly with those? I mean, logically they look kind of small to be enough to lift a whole person, but...

[He fiddles with his hair, pursing his lips.]

[It had been so long ago, but she could still recall watching as he grew his own pair of wings. She had freaked out quite a bit.]

But... where are they?

Well, uh, I haven't really tried yet. [She had to admit that.] And another person said the same thing.

[And she still doesn't remember anyone flying, unless you count talking about it.]

Yeah, it could work differently there than here. Angels are weird.

[Oh, you guys.... Your hearts are in the right place.

Uh, yeah I could probably do that. I will probably need some protection before I try this.

[Flying just sounds more and more dangerous the more she hears about it. Maybe being a grounded angel wasn't so bad?]

Do you think a parachute would help?

Well, I guess we could get you a helmet too! I'd probably be handy if more aliens show up too...

Parachutes would probably mostly be just an emergency measure.

Just if a wing malfunctions or something.

Boots? Huh.

[Just like out of her Japanese animes. They even seem to be painted red and have flames on them. Rakka had to admit they looked cool.]

I hope I don't. I'll try to have some protection before I try this. Especially if I jump off a roof or something.

[She really wants to use them, can't you see it on her face?]

It's just really hot. I don't really want to go outside.

[She exhales slowly, a small amount of worry in her voice.]

I'm just kind of nervous about flying I guess.

Well, hmm. Probably be careful then. Like... don't jump off a building or something?

Every world's got their own weird stuff going on, I think. Mine had people injecting themselves with the world's memories and becoming monsters.

[Issac, Miria, your parenting is showing.]

Uh, I'll work on getting a helmet too. But if you guys could find one that'd be nice.

...Where would we, uh, even get a parachute?

Yeah, but it's okay now. I've figured them out. I got back an echo that lets me draw them back when I'm not using 'em.

Know what will cool you off? Soaring effortlessly through the air while flipping off all the groundbound losers! Plus the higher you get the colder it is, right? Because like. Snow on mountains. And junk.

Basically you need to fly up a mountain and make a snowman and take selfies and post them to Facebook and majorly weird people out.

[Octavia, you always know just what to say. You've actually gotten Rakka considering that.]

Well... that does sound like fun. I mean, just flying up to the mountains and playing in the snow.

But, I could get hypothermia or something.

[Priorities, Rakka has them.]

I never heard of no angels getting hypothermia. You are probably as immortal as I am! Which is pretty fucking immortal.

[ And... Hmm. ]

If you go, bring me back a mountain goat. Those are a thing, right? I want one! Or eight.

Ah....

[ She turns to the side, putting her wings in full view.]

Actually, someone already said that they're too small to make me fly. But, maybe there's magic or something that's going to help them fly that I didn't get back.

[She's not about to question what is and isn't possible yet.]

Do they sell parachutes on ebay?

[What has this conversation become.]

If you say so! I'm not sure how stable that'd be.

Right, right. Are you afraid of heights?

Oh, that's useful. All my wings can do is stick out and be annoying.

[She went through so many shirts, having to cut holes in the back of them to make room.]

[She chuckled lightly.] You're really lucky.
