Forth Bite [Open/Action]
Who: Emilia Stacojiu, Danièle Delacroix and YOU
What: Emi makes a failed attempt at bringing Dani home.
Where: The Dead District, then the Thundercorp compound
When: June 23 (Before the Kids' Raid)
That girl had gone and done it again - she had snuck away from home and her father, running out towards the Dead District, more than likely to get herself into trouble. Emilia knew it'd be one of those days when she got a call from her uncle and tasked with finding Dani and bringing her home.
Getting transport to the Dead District was simple enough, buses still went to places near the edge of the place, like the clinic. Her guess was that Dani went in that direction.
If she's lucky, maybe she'll catch up with the girl and put a stop to whatever nonsense she's trying before she got herself hurt... Or worse.
The only problem is, Dani could see in the dark, happens to be fairly quick, and, as she'll soon notice, is wearing all black, even her wings were hastily wrapped up to cover the noise they can make. The fact Emilia managed to spot the girl at all was a miracle.
By the time she found Dani, the girl was already halfway to the Thundercorp compound, sneaking through the ruins, moving from shadow to shadow. Unfortunately for her, Emilia spotted her in her peripheral vision.
"Stop right there, you little sneak! You're going home right this instant!" Well, it appears this outing ends here...
What: Emi makes a failed attempt at bringing Dani home.

Dani was caught and she knew it. She was there to check things out ahead of time just because it would not hurt to see what was going on before everyone got there. Of course what the girl didn't expect was her father to notice that she was gone. or that he would send her cousin after her.
For a moment, she tried to pretend she didn't say anything and that Emilia could not see her one bit...But she gave in after a moment.
"No! There's something I have to do!"
And instead of staying still..she takes off running.
And anyone's free to jump in after this tag.
Finally, she decided to respond, and off she goes, forcing Emilia to chase after her. "Dani, stop!"
Yup.
Yeah, She's not stopping, ducking through smaller openings to try and lose her cousin before she could get too close. She had a reason, a purpose even to be there and she wasn't leaving. True, she'd be back later but a little recon went a long way.
But graceful Dani isn't so when she trips and falls, it's quite easy to catch up to her.

...And when she trips, Emilia is easily able to catch up to her, and more importantly, try to catch Dani before she's off and running. "Dani, enough. We're going home right now."

"...But this place is weird...I need to find out why. Emilia...please..."

"Is there a reason why you have to do it? Do you have any idea how dangerous it could be in there?"
It's not like there's a chance Emi could be wrong and Dani would be fine, is there?

She couldn't explain it. How could a 9 year old explain it when she was trying to keep parts of her life a secret for her family...Even if part of them was family as well. Dani didn't like keeping secrets but she had to. Her trust issues were still there..and was in a mindset of her against the world.

Emi wouldn't understand that particular mindset, since she thought, since they're family, that Dani could trust her.
She tries to get Dani to stand up, but if she had to, she'd carry her.

Emilia would have to pick her up, as she was trying to figure out how to get away in time, although she was going to be dead weight. She had to figure it out or else she'd be late later.
"Don't take me home...I don't wanna go home."

"This isn't up to you. Now, let's go."

Have fun with a limp child who is pouting mostly. There were many reasons she wasn't staying at the house lately. One was her group of friends and the other..she didn't want to be there.
"Let me go...I'm not going home!"

The sound of fabric tearing made her stop with a gasp, her grip loosening around Dani. Right along the side of her expensive shirt was a tear. "M-my shirt! That was my favorite!" Her grip slipped completely, giving a chance for an escape while Emi is busy fussing with her shirt.
"That was really expensive!" Emilia practically wailed, kicking up such a fuss.

How strong is Dani, powerwise?
She tries to pick her way through the place where she thought Dani went, trying to look in every small space she could find along the way.
She's still little kid strenght but she has a few spells up her sleeve.

She's almost caught up to the girl, or so she thinks...

"Uh oh!"
She scrambled up and starts running again. Trying to get as far away from the original as possible. She probably would not be that hard to catch again but still....

After a while, she manages to catch up with the clone...

The clone is still going to try and run away even if she's about to get caught. At least the clone keeps the act up fairly well. It was just going to play it's part until Dani herself could get away.
"Emi no! I have to!"

"Hold still!"
She jumps forwards, trying to grab the girl and stop her in her tracks.

While that's going on, Dani's head is really starting to hurt. Once they were far enough away, she could escape and head to the secret base. She needed to rest before anything happened.

Once far enough, Emi would find it almost impossible to find Dani again once she escapes...

But that point, the real Dani would take off once more, away from the compound and back onto another bus..one that lead to a bus stop she wasn't known to visit.

Muttering a few curses in Romanian, she tries to head back to where she last saw Dani. But the girl is long gone when she gets there, so she had little choice but to leave.
