He could have used the shadows and pulled Eugen down to the ground, but he didn't want to risk possible injuries from being run over by the car. It would be something he would need to look in to a bit more at a later date.

But, hearing Eugen in pain causes him to snap out of his thoughts and move in closer to examine the arm, but not doing anything to touch it. As for the look that the other man made, he didn't know what he was suppose to explain. Was it about his shadow mimicry or something else that he didn't know he had? That thought was pushed away as well when Eugen comments about his arm being broken.
