"Oh, whatever," she rebuts, poking at his chest. "Look, dad..." She sighs. She's going to have to do something she doesn't like doing - bringing up her mother. "Mom thinks I should try the dorms for at least a year. I only get to be a college student once, no matter what's happening. And if things get worse from here, then I'd like to think I can live by myself a little! I'm not a kid any more."
