Who: Anais' mirror double, Anais, Open!!!
What: Anais' double is running around town being super sweet and also a dick.
When: Whenever???
Where: Places Anais normally frequents. The high school, nearby the clinic, near her apartment building.
Warnings: Violence and my poor attempt at manipulation.
[There were three things on Anais' mind lately: Who she could trust since the incident with the giant snake that killed hundreds of people made it obvious that there was a divide in opinions of people with powers; how she looked to those around her, now that the giant bird on her apartment building made it impossible to hide that she was among them; and how her limited powers and lack of any positive social influence could help her... companions? (Friends was too strong of a word, but she found herself hoping for the safety of everyone, even the ones she didn't know well or at all.)
Absolutely none of these things seem to be crossing Anais' thoughts today. She's downright chatty! Not only is she chatty, but cheerful. She's hanging out with classmates as they wait for the bus. Except she's telling them that their chemistry project is something totally different from what the teacher told them on Monday. And she's giving people directions to the clinic, except the entirely wrong way. And she's also collecting money for charity outside a bakery nearby her house that's going into her own pocket. (Why the hell do monsters need money???)
Classmates, coworkers and friends are totally welcome to call Anais out on her bullshit.
Except for the fact that Anais was just getting out of the first run she's been able to have since the absurd snowy winter when she spotted her double. And it had completely vanished by the time she reappeared. She would've guessed it was just a trick of the light, if it hadn't given her an echo seeing someone exactly like her doing things exactly like she didn't. So she's spending much of the afternoon and early evening looking for this strange double. There's a chance it's dangerous. And she's not willing to let something like that wander around the city.
So while the double causes trouble, Anais is going to be running around asking anyone she recognizes if someone who looked like her has passed through today. She's going to seem crazy, isn't she?]
