6th Wish | Action (Closed)
Who: Jeffrey and Ahito
When: March 29
Where: Oh . . . somewhere out and about
What: Whoops, that sure is a gum monster deciding to stick one of these guys to the ceiling.
[It's been a long and troubling few days. Among trying to deal with his dad's death, being questioned by the FBI, and making arrangements to sit his finals early so he can go check out what's happening in Las Vegas, Jeffrey has been a pretty busy guy. And that's to say nothing of trying to sort out this ravenous hunger he'd had since that light had gone off. He should not be eating so much, he's sure. It's kind of murder on the food bills, even if he has the money to spare.
[So yes, with all that and the distracting hunger, it's perhaps no wonder that Jeffrey isn't quite alert enough to catch the giant stick of gum flying right at him. Not in time to do anything about it, anyway.] Ack!
[He winces a little when his back hits the ceiling and he's granted a bird's-eye view of the room. If he could move his arms right now, he'd probably do a little panicked flail, but this gum is pretty persistent about keeping him up here. Even with super strength, this is going to be a bit of a chore. Plus, he'd like to not out himself too much, even if he'd been caught on camera using his abilities during the snake rampage. And hadn't been disguised at all. So he tries waving at the next person to pass under him. Waving requires hands that can move and thus it does nothing. So:] Excuse me? Little help?

Uh-- sure?
Hey, are you actually okay?
[The chewing gum isn't like corrosive is it? Because that's like the last thing they need right about now.]

Putting it all in perspective, it's almost funny compared to the snake.]
Yeah. Really, I am. It's just . . . sticky and hard to move.
[He'd probably laugh if it weren't him in this predicament. And having a sudden, rather unpleasant Echo memory doesn't help, either. The brief shift in his expression when that happens is probably familiar to anyone who's been networked for awhile.]

Definitely, 100% okay, right?
[Oh yeah, he caught that look. And since it didn't look like a particularly happy one, he's not so sure he wants to recklessly make a move.]
