[semi-open] LA, ask me for the truth about it
Who: Harper Sutherland & RELATED PARTIES
When: Saturday, March 15th
Where: The very posh Sutherland residence.
What: SLEEPOVER. GIRLS RULE, BOYS DROOL.
Why: Post Snakeocalypse dose of fun and normalcy. Kinda.
[ Early evening at the Sutherland household, which was, thankfully, still standing in the wake of Wise Snake. Along with an entire straight block of Starbucks establishments. Weird, right? Either way, a few days prior, after resting up, checking that no one had gotten permanently mauled, and being fairly certain the FBI wasn't going to kick down her door, Harper mass texted her teammates et al. with a simple enough offer.
Sleepover at her place, Saturday night. Food provided. Bring-your-own movies and sleep gear. Time, address, floor number. Tada.
Besides, after Sunday, they deserved a little r&r, didn't they? She was lucky enough to have space, time (school? not this week, oh no), and if there's anything Harper dislikes, it's being idle. So it seemed like the perfect chance to do something productive.
A little before the arrival time, she starts on the finishing touches... ]
(ooc. invites were sent to A☆P, but if you have reasonable age-bracket cr (or cr-of-cr) with her for a sleepover, you're more than welcome to hop in!)

[ THIS WOULD BE HILARIOUS IF IT WASN'T GROSS she might pull the 'I saw a guy crushed to death' card just to get out of it. ]

[A lot of popcorn is getting consumed during this movie.]

Come on Marina, it's so fake! How could it possibly be scary? Besides, I'm right here with you...!
[and that's when! without thinking! she gives her a reassuring peck on the cheek]
no subject
Besides, it's not like she hadn't already seen enough real life human gore and blood to last her a lifetime at the beginning of this week.
Noticing what Jasmine just did does illicit a reaction, though, almost involuntary. Her head starts to whip around, her mouth starts to open... but then she just stops herself.
Mostly because of the shameful realization that her sister has a better idea of what to do here than her, as she tries to not-so-obviously scoot closer towards Winter.
Yet is completely obvious.]no subject
...my hero.

no subject
Nope.
[And she's rolling her eyes so much at all of this... mushy... BS up in here.]

[and she's just going to snuggle up against Marina]

...wasn't really the plan. A-...doing... this. I mean.

She muffles a thoroughly unimpressed noise. ]
I'm no good at this bloody stuff... [ She looks up, instantly regrets it, squeaks an "Ew!", and smashes her face into the pillow again. ] I need a distraction, or I'll never make it!
[ Let's see, maybe a suitable hair-brushing victim... all she has to do is look down. Raye, gurl. Your hair. She squiggles over and pokes Raye's shoulder. ]
Hey.
no subject
[She's also unaware of just how tempting a target the stray curls and locks of her hair is in Harper's quest. She blinks at the poke to her shoulder and turns her head, looking back and up at Harper.]
Yeah?
no subject
Let me brush your hair.
[ That wasn't a request. ]
no subject
[Raye leans back from Harper's determined stare, blinking at her for a second before her expression focuses into one that is equally determined.]
No way.
[Demand denied.]
no subject
Come on! This movie is disgusting, it's the least you could do if I'm going to sit through it all the way.
no subject
Go mess with somebody else's hair if you don't like the movie.
[She did not sign up for girly hair-brushing stuff or whatever.]
no subject
[ Now to see how awkward that makes it. ]
1/2
G-Get real! This is normal sleepover stuff!
[ A smart person would have dropped it there.
But no.
She has been issued a challenge. ]

...The warm presence at her side draws her attention away, though. When did Lily get there? Not that she minds, but it's just... wasn't she a distance across the room before? What, were they both bad with stuff like this? It wouldn't really surprise her, but it's something she can't answer just-
-ew, didn't need to see that. She shivers briefly, enough that Lily can probably feel it, as close as she is. That also means she's coming back in time to hear the comments from Annie and the others, and her face goes bright red, though she doesn't move away.
...The random request for hair-brushing, though, confuses her. What in the world...? Oh, wait, Harper's taking this movie about as badly as she is. That makes sense. Raye, though? If there were anyone with hair to brush, it'd have to be either Lily or herself... who are presently next to each other. Oh. Is that it? She offers a sympathetic glance to Harper, and a slightly withering gaze over to Marina, before returning her attention to the movie, though she might be unconsciously shifting closer to Lily as the gore continues to rain down.]
no subject
[Et tu, Winter?][Raye is likewise shocked and horrified at such a ridiculous statement.]
L-like hell that's even gonna happen!
[Hey, wait a second, what was that Harper? She wheels on her next.]
Hey! What's that supposed to mean, huh?
no subject
Everyone else is far more entertaining.Still, that and Winter shifting closer prompts Lily's hand to ... slowly creep out and seek out that of the other girl's.She side eyes Raye, meanwhile.] It's not like she's going to hurt you, or anything.
[Her eyebrows raise.] What's there to be so afraid of?
no subject
This is one hell of a pleasant little slumber party. ]
no subject
[ Harper is thankfully (and probably miraculously) quiet while Lily makes her point. And boy is it a point. At this stage it's less the action and more the principle of the thing. Honestly, now. ]
...Are you afraid?
no subject
Who's afraid? I like it the way it is, that's all.
