[semi-open] LA, ask me for the truth about it
Who: Harper Sutherland & RELATED PARTIES
When: Saturday, March 15th
Where: The very posh Sutherland residence.
What: SLEEPOVER. GIRLS RULE, BOYS DROOL.
Why: Post Snakeocalypse dose of fun and normalcy. Kinda.
[ Early evening at the Sutherland household, which was, thankfully, still standing in the wake of Wise Snake. Along with an entire straight block of Starbucks establishments. Weird, right? Either way, a few days prior, after resting up, checking that no one had gotten permanently mauled, and being fairly certain the FBI wasn't going to kick down her door, Harper mass texted her teammates et al. with a simple enough offer.
Sleepover at her place, Saturday night. Food provided. Bring-your-own movies and sleep gear. Time, address, floor number. Tada.
Besides, after Sunday, they deserved a little r&r, didn't they? She was lucky enough to have space, time (school? not this week, oh no), and if there's anything Harper dislikes, it's being idle. So it seemed like the perfect chance to do something productive.
A little before the arrival time, she starts on the finishing touches... ]
(ooc. invites were sent to A☆P, but if you have reasonable age-bracket cr (or cr-of-cr) with her for a sleepover, you're more than welcome to hop in!)

[Ugh, she should just... get outta here. Dad was home tonight, but whatever, she could lock herself in her room for another night. Yeah, she could just... do that.
Except that would mean backing out. The invite was there, and, well, she couldn't just ignore it. She glances back over her shoulder at the backpack holding a change of clothes, sleepwear and her offering for the night's movies and a few snacks.]
... Fuck it.
[She lets out a breath and then marches up to the front door, only pausing for a second before jabbing the doorbell and shoving her hands back into her jacket pockets, expression set in grim determination.]

Rery! Fary! Finish these up for me, okay?
[ Her two Fairy Tones perk up, giving her twin salutes and an exemplary "Aye, aye!" while they flit around. ]
Coming!
[ She calls at the door, even though she pauses to peek through the peephole just in case it happened to be a horde of suits. Luckily it isn't, and she opens the door on... wow, could this person look any unhappier to be at a sleepover? Surprise, consternation, and a hint of recognition pass over her face, too quick to really catch. She moves aside, holding the door. Hadn't she seen this girl... ]
Hi, come in! You know... Lily? Right?

[Raye is the best at first impressions, the best.]
[She steps inside when Harper invites her in, and her tensed up stance seems to fade a little when she catches a whiff of the smell of baking in the air. She stops inside, taking a look around the place and whistling quietly. This was a hell of a place.]
Uh... yeah. We kinda backed each other up in that whole snake mess, and she told me I should come by tonight. If that's cool and everything.
[She's still not too sure about this.]

As long as you don't keep looking like I'm going to fight you!
[ Sweet summer children. ]
I trust Lily. And everyone who fought should get the chance to relax a little. — Oh, throw your stuff anywhere, okay?
[ In a word: yes. It's cool. ]

I'm not gonna go starting any trouble in somebody else's house.
[Hahaha.]
[She takes a closer look around once she's inside, the news getting a tired look from her (ugh, there just wasn't any getting away from that, was there). It wasn't as if her family wasn't well-off, but moving around as much as they did meant a lot of relatively small apartments. This place was--
oh my god, there are fairies in the kitchen.]
Uh... I'm guessing your part of that whole Cure... Team... thing?
Are creatures like those unusual?
[She glances down toward Senketsu, who's following her gaze toward the two Tones having picked up the spike of confusion from her.]
Yeah. Little bit.

[ Wow did that have a little bit of a bite to it or what. ...Nahhh. Harper goes to survey the fairies' work, and gives them the all green to take one of the sodas and share it. The little yellow one looks particularly, uh. Victorious. As he waves a crazy straw about like a puny viking warrior. ]
Here here, all done! [ She rights the tray on the counter. ] And yes, I am. ...Though, I wasn't very happy about it at first.
no subject
because he only has the one.]How come? You get an even foofier prom dress than Lily did?
no subject
And meanwhile, Harper must be used to it by now, paying them no mind now that they've got their soda. ]
Think ballerina mixed with wedding cake. It's awful. ...Really durable, though.
no subject
Strange....
Jeez. These costumes keep getting worse....
[Ah, right, she should probably....]
Oh, yeah. I'm Raye.
no subject
Right! I'm Harper.
[ As if to punctuate that, she offers up a soda instead of something stuffy like a handshake. ]
I'm still pretty new to this network business, but... mmn. Citywide battles wear you in, a bit.
