Sorry I'm late to the check-in, but it took a while to get back home. I didn't really want to explain to my parents that I got knocked unconscious during the fight, so I told them I was staying with some people who got hurt during the attack to make sure they were going to be okay. Not sure if they're convinced, but at least they've stopped asking questions.

[He runs a weary hand over his face. Going back to his parents' house wasn't a whole lot of fun, but he knew he'd have to eventually even if he tried returning to Roy's place instead. Not only that, he did still worry about how his parents may have fared during the attack.]

Anyway, I figured I should give everyone a heads up. I learned something new about my power in the middle of all of that, and... well, the short and sweet version is, every time I heal someone I have to give up some of my own life. I'm not a hundred percent sure what the full effects of that are going to be, but the last time I gave it a shot I ended up coughing up blood and passing out, so... Unless I figure out a way to not risk dying every time I heal someone, I'm going to have to stop.

It's pretty shitty yeah. It might have been better if I actually knew about the price I had to pay before I tried healing anyone, but of course it's never that easy.

A couple of times, but the big one was bringing a woman back from near death. I'm pretty sure that's the one that did me in.

I'm not actually sure what's wrong with me right now aside from some eye problems. I should probably get it checked out, but I figured I'd wait until things calm down. I don't think it's going to get any worse as long as I don't use my power. Besides, I'll have to ask a Network doctor about it anyway.

Is the severity of what you're healing to be taken into account? That is... is there a notable difference between healing a papercut and something life-threatening?

Right now... Well, I've lost some of my eyesight in one eye. I've also been getting random pains, but I can't say for sure if it's because I used magic or because I got hurt during the confusion and didn't notice.
