12:30, aka shortly after the USA/CAN hockey match started; video;

[So a thing happened today from 7 am. Sadly it resulted in a thing happening tomorrow noon instead of Sunday morning. Since said thing was sports, booze was involved. Since said thing was hockey in a match against Sweden, things were very emotional. Also Sweden won. The group of Finns that had gathered for a livestreaming of the game not only in Finnish but more importantly among people who understood the significance stayed together for a while longer after the game finished and discussed everything (and drank a bit more). But eventually the group dissolved. This is why Siiri is not only free in the middle of the day (reasons to call out of work: this) but also pretty buzzed when she accesses the network through a mirror in her living room.

Yep, it's video. And she seems to be in fairly high spirits (= she's not glaring murder at the onlooker). While she is still somewhat upset about the results, it's not like they were entirely unexpected, and being among people who speak her language always raises her spirits some... And more importantly, alcohol has always relaxed her, and made being social and talking to people much easier on her (and that is, at least subconsciously, why she's posting now. She's been meaning to for ages and just never could make herself. And she's hardly been able to make herself use video before, either). Anyway, now she's home and feels the need to address a thing.

The thing.]

At least we had no Bieber to get rid of through this. [One of her labmates talked about that in detail, and it just seems incredibly relevant right now (to a degree this might be the alcohol talking). There is also no context provided in her words. At least her accent might tip someone off about her being Finnish, it's heavier than normal now, so someone following the winter Olympics, especially someone following the hockey ones, might be able to guess that she is talking about the semi-final that went down the same morning.]

We'll still get bronze. [She's probably more fired up about this than she'd normally be, but considering where she lives right now it just seems more relevant than normally. Even more so if Canada keeps up the good work.]
