What: Coming to terms
Where: Jasmine and Lily's house
When: Tuesday, after school [backdated]
Status: Closed
Jasmine had retreated into herself again. It hadn't been easy giving her sister the cold shoulder all weekend, but she had somehow managed it. Winter had gotten the same treatment at school... in fact, she generally avoided everyone.
It wasn't that she was angry at them. It was that she was confused. Seeing Lily and Winter together like that had thrown her for a loop, and she had no idea where the hell she stood. Those two... those two were the most important people to her right now...
And now they had each other.
Where the hell did that leave her?
Jasmine couldn't face it. And yet, it consumed almost all of her waking thought. It wasn't that she was jealous, exactly. She just...
... where did she stand?
That voice in her head telling her she didn't matter didn't help. The voice saying that she was destined to be just like the woman she saw in her echoes and nightmares reveled in it. Try as she might, Jasmine couldn't push those thoughts away.
And unfortunately, everything else was noise. Confusion. And she couldn't face it. She couldn't face them.
It wasn't anger that led to Jasmine avoiding them, it was uncertainty.
So, once she returned home from school, she retreated to her room, and sat at her desk, staring at her sketchpad. Trying to make sense of the conflicting thoughts in her head.
