[There's a somewhat frustrated, exhausted, and pained-sounding biology teacher on the network Thursday morning, before school starts.]

I am officially calling in sick until Monday. At least Monday. I went wolf last night. It wasn't the full moon, that's tomorrow night. I don't know what happened. If I ran into you... I am so sorry. I don't know what changed, but something did.

So. I'll be needing my clavigers tonight. It might happen again. If you aren't too busy. Friday is taken care of, but tonight... I don't think I can manage it.

Also, if someone could perhaps send one of the doctors over here... I believe I got shot at some point? Not that I blame whoever did it. But it is a little inconvenient, and my bandaging isn't as good as it could be.

[Apparently he's got a bit of understatement going on there. Inconvenient, indeed. At that point, he signs off, at least until people start contacting him back.]

In the shoulder, and... well, it hurts? I don't know how bad off it is. I don't think I'm dying, anyway.

[Forgive him for not being terribly coherent this morning, Anthony. He hasn't slept in 24 hours, now, and he hurts quite a bit.]

I think so. I would prefer to get a doctor's opinion, but I'm sure I'll be all right.

Bakura, I haven't slept in over twenty-four hours and I am still rather a bit broken from the change. Besides, you have school, and don't have the excuse of... of being a murderous predator all night.

[He pauses, winces, and adds:]

I... think I may have chased you. I'm sorry. I didn't mean it.

Well, I did change when those snakes appeared, well outside the full moon... but there was no threat this time. And I haven't done it since. But it's the only thing I can think of.

[Oh, and he'd said something else, too.]

I am available to come where you are if you need assistance and medical care.

I can get you a ride to a doctor, or I can bring a doctor to you if you need me to.

[There's a pause.]

I can also bring you something to eat; I know you don't feel like cooking after the change.

[Sometimes, he feels like this is the one thing he can do...]

It's all right, Anthony. I need to stay awake until one of the doctors gets here, anyhow.

I'm still sorry, and I'm very glad I didn't catch you. I appreciate the offer, and I'll keep it in mind, though right now all I need are some painkillers, a better bandaging, and a lot of sleep.

[He did deserve it. Otherwise he probably would've hurt more people.]

At least you slowed me down. I'll be all right. I have a couple doctors already volunteering to help, and a good excuse to not come in to work until Monday.
