Okay, with that out of the way, thoughts on those jackasses on the forums? And heyyy how are you all holding up, everyone doing okay, nobody's turned into a giant monster yet?

Hey, you two, I was wondering if I could make an actual appointment at the clinic? I have cybernetic eyes I've had for a month and I want to know how the hell they're actually allowing me to see. Also, I've had this really annoying buzzing noise in my chest that gets worse when I have one of those flashbacks, or when I get body dysphoria. Worried that I've grown more robot bits, but I can't be sure. Either one of you free? [/private]

I wonder what it is about those things. Kinda weird that something that you'd think would be tools of the other guys makes us react...

From what I can tell so far, the value they place on human life isn't particularly high. Like it's unfortunate to have to kill, but sometimes needed. Like we're squirrels in an overpopulated neighborhood.

Yeah, I got that impression as well. And I really don't like it. I don't understand why they feel the need to kill us in the first place, and they won't tell us what they really want without us giving them information on us, which is all not exactly making me want to trust them. I can understand an ends-justify-the-means sort of attitude, but I understand that better when I know what the ends are.

Right. I can't imagine what they thought the reaction was going to be when they keep saying "We're prepared to kill every single living being on the planet but we don't WANT to!"

On the other hand, starting a war with them will definitely lead to some sort of casualties. But I'm not sure that NOT fighting with them will ensure no casualties, either.

Yeah, exactly. And NOT fighting them is also like... we don't REALLY know what they want. What if they want to brainwash everyone and take them all as slaves? What if they want to turn them all into mutants like those dogmen and those birds? What if they want to drain the oceans? We have NO IDEA, and we're at an impasse because they won't tell us unless we tell them stuff.

Personally, I say we fight the bastards.

I also have to wonder... the guy told me that the Earth started it. Which makes no fucking sense, given that I think they're the invaders. But if we did, I'm inclined to trust us.

Also makes me wonder why we're reacting to their stuff like this. Some people are getting back superpowers. And it usually happens when we encounter their handiwork. So maybe we're meant to fight them? I don't like the idea of being someone else's pawn, but...

I hadn't thought of that. I guess it's possible, but does everyone getting 'Extras' really fit under that idea? How will a talking horse help us fight them? Hell, I don't think I have anything to offer if it actually comes down to a fight. Not unless you want me to diagnose them with the DSM. Or distract them with a kendama.

I dunno, maybe it's random? Or maybe we're supposed to 'fight' in weird ways?

Hmm. Maybe. Maybe there's a way I can actually fight with a kendama that I haven't remembered yet.

Yeah, I went back and looked at your old post. It's sort of... a dialect difference, I think? More extreme than the differences between British English and American but understandable...

Anyway, I'm free tonight and tomorrow, I think. I have to do some paper grading in the morning though.
