Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold [closed]
Who: Killian and Fil, later to be joined by Thorir
What: So after a very odd and crazy family dinner, Killian and Fil head off to talk about what Killian remembers about Middle-earth to see if it rings any bells for Fil. Did we mention that Thorir doesn't know Fil is on the Network?
When: 2/15, evening (forward dated)
Where: Thorir's apartment
So.
That had been a Thing. It had been a good thing, but wow, Killian had not expected that. (Though really, he should have. The Ryans were just as crazy.) He still doesn't know who all had been at the table beyond the twins, Mardis, and obviously Fil and Thorir but they were a good family.
He thinks he could eventually get used to being related to them. Even if the twins were calling him "uncle".
But dinner's done now and he follows Fil into the other's bedroom. He feels a bit bad, talking about this right under Thorir's nose when their uncle doesn't even know about Fil's numbers but, well, that's Fil's place. Once the door's shut, Killian flops down on the floor.
"So, where do you want me to start?"

and then he blinks, and with a moment of vertigo it is just there.
"I have it now."
At least the pulses make learning things easier. "I wonder what the language to go with it was like."

I'm hoping we'll get the spoken language soon." Fil said cheerfully. Things like languages and family, he could accept as parts of his past life rather than disturbing memories about dying.

Or they could learn Elvish.
He's considering that anyway, to counter the things that he assumes about Thorin and elves. Because Eliot and Gabriel are among his best friends and he will not risk losing them to pulses.
"Or learn them Dwarvish, or learn Elven from them." Though the first feels like he'd really, really rather not. The notebook definitely sounds good, though.

"Or maybe you could suggest they start a notebook of their own and we can just trade off on it once every so often." He suggested. Keeping the information online would be easier for sharing, but he still wasn't sure how secure it could be kept.

Getting up, he nods at the door. "I'll leave you two to yourselves. Jón wanted to show me something." And then he'll probably call it a night. So much things have happened...

"Good night, Uncle." Fil said, getting to his feet as well. He was feeling a bit tired himself; this evening had been an emotional rollercoaster with the echoes and family business all mixed in.
