[This goes up at about three a.m., though obviously it can be seen and replied to at any time.]
Anyone up and on rn? It's got creepy, but I don't think anything can get up here. Anyway. I'm pretty sure this last extra is not about me, because I know what I was like at eight years old. I didn't think things out, I was a *kid*. No one was recruiting me for anything more serious than idk, dodgeball.
Who the fuck asks eight year olds to be field agents? For anything? Especially things that could get them shot or buried alive? Who does that? Even if he *is* this weirdly mature type and apparently not human.
Gah. This might be a good time to go for a run.

[Because he knows that feel, even if he's nowhere near ready to admit that much.]

[Not going to push the issue, not going to outwardly express sympathy. He's resisting the urge to tell Julien that getting evidence doesn't always make things better.]

[Well, that's good, at least, that he hasn't found another monster...unless he's dealing with the sort of guy who would consider being a monster absurd.]

[Does not compute.]
How weird did your lungs get, anyway?

[That Anghel-vision has really misled him. Reality warpers always make things confusing.]
*Really* weird. I got an x-ray at the clinic and they're actually really tiny now. Like a third the size they're supposed to be and kind of ribbed, and they don't move much. That's why I was having so much trouble breathing. I can't even cough normally anymore!
Instead there are these hollow spaces like balloons coming off them and *they* are the ones that move. All through my chest, under my collarbones, a little in my arms and gut even. And now there's this weird rocking chest movement every time I breathe.
They do seem to work better. But it's really kind of unsettling!

[He is so not following there. But he's more distracted by the thought of organs transforming to something they shouldn't be transforming into.]
I'd imagine it would be. Do you anticipate any further changes with the other form you're thinking of?

A few big ones. Probably lots of smaller things if it's not just the lungs that are different. Should be exciting, huh?

I think you and I have very different definitions of exciting.
[He's more likely to describe that as "miserable," himself.]

lol, maybe! Just because something's exiting doesn't mean it's fun or positive, but putting it like that's pretty much my style.

[Even without the weirdness going on, he's still too serious for his own good...]

Anyway, thank you, good sir/madam. I feel a bit less frazzled for you having taken the time to text with me about this.
