[Being a new arrival in the city meant that Shuji had spent the first couple weeks getting himself settled. There was paperwork to be filled out, training to do to make sure he was on the same level as everyone else, plus moving himself into his new apartment. Barely any of his possessions had come with him and the apartment was still fairly sparse looking, but none of that really mattered to him. The important thing was that he was far away from his family and, hopefully, their sphere of influence.
There were very few things Shuji was interested in as far as a hobby and art was not one of these things. However, he had been swayed to investigate after seeing messages on the network relating to the gallery and hearing the hype around the city. After work on Saturday night, the same day he had accessed the network, Shuji decided to visit the gallery to see what would happen.
As expected, there was the same unpleasant feeling he felt whenever he passed the statue inside the police station. It echoed the feeling he'd had a few days after arriving in the city, though perhaps a bit stronger.
While there, Shuji made a point to stay off to the side, arms crossed in front of his chest as he kept his back against a blank wall. He would stare at the statues for awhile before casting his glance over the room, trying to judge if anyone in particular stood out to him. It was a place many people on the network had come to visit, but it was also a very busy spot for the rest of the city. Picking anyone in particular out would be difficult.]
