[Closed] I dream you're out in the blue
Who: Aeron and Emery
What: Getting our facts straight
Where: The Sky Apple Cafe
When: day after Aeron's first post
Tick tock tick tock. The sound of the clock seems to echo loudly in Aeron's mind throughout the day, moving at a pace that's a hundred times slower than usual. He's distracted, almost visibly so, but thankfully none of his professors catch his attention drifting away every so often.
Aeron dislikes the way his thoughts slip out of his grasp and take on a life of their own, making him unable to focus. How can he, when his head is filled with things that he would have labeled nonsense just days ago? Secret networks, conspiracies, werewolves--he's had a lot to think about since he accidentally accessed the system on his organizer. Little did he know that writing a reminder to "look up this number" for any significance would lead to this. And somehow his literature project partner is tied up in all of it.
His class ends (finally), and Aeron tries not to run out the door. Even when he's forced himself to slow down, he makes it to the cafe Ayliff works at in record time. There's still some time left before Ayliff's shift ends, so Aeron makes himself comfortable at ones of the desks and pulls out his phone to check the network while he waits.

Emery's wiping down the desserts refrigerator when Aeron shows up at the cafe. The tinkle of the door announced him—there's a moment's pause, then recognition, and Emery glances towards the clock just to double check on the time. He's early. Perhaps he came straight from a lecture? Not that it really matters, of course, since it'll make litte difference on closing time—which is why he's putting in the leg-work now to make sure everything's clean for tomorrow morning. He does, however, make him a pot of coffee for the wait;
"On the house."
Hey, some people just function better when you make them comfortable and fill them with beverages. Aeron appears to be one of those people, and Emery would rather soften him up a little before they chat. He doesn't linger: talking later, cleaning now. When closing time rolls around (and the last of the customers have filtered out) he shuts the door and turns the sign before fixing himself a cup of chai.
... That plate of broken gingersnap biscuits? Just ignore them. That's Emery's dinner.
"Sorry about the wait." He drops into the seat next to him, apron and all, before popping a corner of biscuit into his mouth. "I didn't think you'd be so early."

"I didn't have anything to do after my last lecture."
