[He'd first absently written down the string of numbers that won't leave his head during his weekly bookkeeping, since their presence in his mind had been throwing him off the rest of his numbers. His plan to get them out of his head and go back to his work had failed, but he'd discovered something far more interesting.
Since then, Varric's been reading. He knows better than to make his presence known somewhere before he has as firm of a grasp on the situation as he can.
Only once he's as fully abreast of what's been happening as he can be without having actually been there at the time does he make a network post.]
I'm a little disappointed. All this time, there was a completely untapped source of information, right under my nose.
Such fascinating things I'm discovering about ThunderCorp, and our esteemed local law enforcement.

Just be careful about where you use the information. We're not a hundred percent sure exactly how much is real, and how much is made to look real.
Welcome to the Secret Numbers Club. Have you hit the FAQs yet, or do you want the link?

The best rumors always have a grain of truth, although that saying is usually for things far more believable than some of the things I've read.
I've found them, I think, but links couldn't hurt in case I missed something.

You seem pretty focused on the robots and aliens part of this. Do you have personal experience with them?

I've been getting the feeling that the police and Thunder Corp are only telling their lackeys so much and half of that might just be false in case we've got mind readers or something. I don't know any more.
But if you've got questions, I can probably help out there. I've been around for a while.

Albeit with a bit less surprise.
[text] forever
[That could definitely be bad for business. Or excellent for business, depending, but still, it means more work.]
How long is a while?

I started about May, and the longest people have been hooked up since abut April. So nearly one of the old crew.

Hmm. I wonder what was so special about April.

[Which he could use right now, actually.]

For every post in this thing that seems to provide some relevant information, there's five or six of useless chatter and people freaking out.
And that's not even going into how much of this "information" is truth and how much is insane conspiracy.
text;
as far as i can tell, most of the actual INFO is still hearsay. and the further it travels from the source, the more conjecture gets thrown into the mix
text;
I've noticed that, too. With that and their supposed sources, it makes it awfully inconvenient for us to try to fact check any of this hearsay.

This whole place is just one big mess.

I guess it does, but not by much.

You're doing a good job faking non-surprise, though.
