The door opened inwards, so at first, it actually took some shoving to get it open-- Lyall as a wolf had none of his human intelligence, and he didn't recognize the sound of the door unlocking except as something else to hurl himself against. Hajime was up to the task, though, and as soon as Lyall extracted himself from behind said door, he came barreling out directly at Hajime with a snarl, mouth agape and ready to chomp down on anything that landed in his path.
