There are a few ways. Luring it away comes to mind but I'm not crazy about killing animals if I can avoid it. Probably our best bet is to use perfumes, colognes, or other scents to try to throw it off. Even trained bloodhounds aren't all THAT accurate, so assuming these are reasonably normal animals tricking them shouldn't be too hard.
