Nick, too, had started off immediately on hearing which way the monster'd been headed. He'd been in the area, and so opted to go on foot rather than attempt to battle traffic. After grabbing his personal gun from his car - if it comes to him shooting, he really doesn't want to use his service weapon - and takes off at a jog, moving easily through the crowds.
When he spots the man he'd seen on the network, he changes course to meet up with him and the two he's talking to - one who Nick recognizes, and isn't surprised to see involved in stopping this.
"I haven't spotted it, either. Splitting up might give us a better chance of finding it, but I'm not sure anyone should go up against it alone."
