[There's a heavy sigh, and a beautiful young woman fills the screen, looking dead into the camera in a way that's mostly unnerving. She's sitting in what looks like a park or some sort, against a tree.]

So I guess I would give this a try. Given I'm absolutely positive I'm not crazy or dead. I am a woman with an open mind, so I will give into this absurdness. Though I am sitting in the park talking to my compact, so perhaps I am a little crazy.

Anyways, I guess I'm coming forward for the first time to all of you to ask about the Tuning Towers. I've been browsing the network for the past few days without speaking up for myself, and I've read about the buzzing. I had to hear it for myself, I suppose in a sort of validation for myself. Indeed when I went I could hear it, and it is quite unnerving. I can't seem to stay away from the towers, now. I've gone three times this week. What on earth is going on in this strange town.

Oh, also some sort of "Earth Entity" might be to blame for us being forced into it, not sure.

That's what it looks like. They're using Thunder Corp as a front and seem to have control of the police. So ... being careful is sort of a priority here.

As for other things, well you're going to be either changing physically, finding new things you don't own in your possession or getting weird memories cause that seems to be yours. People on the network have alot of different names for it.

Oh yes I've noticed the changes. I woke up with these tattoos [She gestures to the thick black bands across her arms and chest, even pulling down her top slightly to show them off better-as well as a good glimpse of her cleavage] I thought maybe I had been too drunk to remember getting inked, but they're already healed, and then the numbers, and the buzzing...

This is scary. Not even the police can help? Well I suppose when you're talking about aliens, there's only so much the police can do. [She frowns.]

[Wow, hottie. Pia's brows raise as she stares complacently into the screen.] So I've heard. It's all quite a shock to the system, but I'm due for a new adventure, any how.

Of course. Sorry if I've come across as uncaring. It's mostly disbelief. [She tents her fingers, batting her eyelashes.] Of course I'm still getting used to this. How on earth do you cope?

I ... I see. Well, at least they didn't appear while you're awake. Some physical changes can be painful if what I've heard is anything to go by.

The police though, well it's one of those situations of they're under the control of the aliens already.

[She snorts a laugh, straightening up again.]

Well I'll be sure to keep away from life-altering changes as long as I'm awake.

And let me guess, normal humans don't know anything about this? [She certainly didn't know before it started.]

Now that sounds like a good tactic. I'm not quite the hiding type, but I do like the thought of kicking some ass.

I'm by the towers right now. It's as if no one else can even hear that horrid noise. And I do believe it's coming from below but...who knows. I just can't seem to stay away, but the place is no doubt soon to be crawling with people I don't want to meet. Maybe I'll leave soon...

Exactly. They can't see it and they can't hear it. If you act weird though, they definitely can though. We uh, we had someone get picked up by the police last month actually.

What's a cool thing to do around here? This town is dead as a brick, I swear. I mean you sound like a cool chick, I thought maybe we could hang out. [Cue wink.]

*raises eyebrow* Well, there is a lot to do. I've got a lot of prep work in the next month for something that involves going out of the city, unfortunately. Losing everything and then getting it all back never stops being an inconvenience. Still, though, that isn't stopping me from investigating. Or looking around at tourist attractions that don't have infernal buzzing noises coming out of them, either.

Yeah I can imagine that transforming in public or using something you got from an echo blatantly in a crowd of people would get you carted off to a psychiatric ward. (Not that there's anything wrong with seeking medical help for a mental illness, but being committed without having anything actually wrong with you is probably ableist, but I degress--) What happened last month?
