So... I'm s-sure most of you know this already, but school is starting soon. I just... want to make sure everyone is ready. Even though we have a lot to deal with, it's i-important that we try to focus on things again. Most of the things we're getting back from these e-echoes won't make us a living.

Um, to that end... if anyone finds they need to review things, or they need h-help during the semester... I'll be happy to try and help, if it's something I can help with. I'm s-sure a lot of you are shaking your heads... assuming I'm offering because I'm part of the student co-council and it's expected... but really, I enjoy doing it, even if it doesn't s-sound like it. I don't w-want anyone's studies to suffer because of everything that's going on, so... p-please think about it... okay?

And, um, if there's anything else worth m-mentioning on the subject of school... maybe now would be a g-good time to get it out of the way? Questions, s-study groups, o-opinions...?

[She was doing great up until she started to leave open-ended questions as discussion topics. Satisfied she's gotten her point across, Winter reaches out and turns off the video feed.]

I h-hope not... it's going to be hard with everything that's happening, these d-days.

Plus I have to f-figure out what I'm going to do about college, this year...

Normally... I'd aim h-higher, for a big school with interesting things. But... with things the wa-way they are here... I can't really leave, can I?

Oh, sorry! [ The apology hurtles out almost as soon as she's done talking. He feels as though that was pretty thoughtless of him. ] I guess that was a terrible question, wasn't it?

[ Even just leaving... wasn't so easy anymore. ]

No, it's... not y-your fault. It's a perfectly normal question. Except for... you k-know. All this.

Sometimes when you're just thinking in terms of day-to-day, you still end up defaulting back to the normal stuff.

[ A puff of a sigh over the line. ]

It ought to be a breeze for you. But hey, maybe our schedules will line up, somewhere along the way.

I... can understand that. As much as I want to ch-change... I just can't help it, sometimes.

[She smiles, and she seems a little cheerier.]

I hope so. I don't... want to feel like I can just duck my head and h-hide all the time. That's... not going to help me grow. I think having p-people I know will help a lot.

It's nothing for you to worry about, I'm sure everyone's like that, even now.
