[ About half an hour after his conversation with Roxy, DJ tries inputting the string of numbers in a text document on his computer. Wonder of wonders, it works again. Intriguing. He looks around for a while before typing anything, but after a while... ]

I tried converting it to binary, octal, hex, decoding it from any system that even remotely made sense, switching the digits around, inverting it, multiplying it by 42, you fucking name it, and in the end this string haunting my every waking thought turns out to be a god damn public key for a secret message board hidden in my plate of mashed potatoes? I'm just glad this works on my computer, too. Can't go around writing in my food whenever I want to chat.

I must be going crazy. There's no other explanation.

Anyway. I went through some of the archives and found what appears to be a writeup for newbie forum-goers. Extremely helpful, would read again. Looks like a whole lot of shit's been going down for a few months now and I just happened to stumble ass-first into what outsiders must assume is some increasingly bizarre LARP campaign. But I think I've got the gist of it. People who aren't part of whatever this is can't see the forum, people have been experiencing weird memory alterations and physical changes, and animals are mutating and maybe trying to kill people. Is there anything else I should be aware of?

Also -- Roxy, nice timing on the fake hacking attempt. It was really cute.

actually if this were a LARP campaign i would give such props to the people in charge
it wouldn't be boring even if the mash of genres would be a bit weird
i mean this would totally be something i would play!

if you read the writeup then i assume you have everything that seems good
except i'd advise you to avoid the tap water for the time being
i guess that is probably a good thing to point out
though i guess it has it's uses depending on what you want??

pretty sure that in addition to really stupid giggling fits

okay basically my sister and i had some and we remembered what we remembered already again
and there was a lot of laughter at absolutely jack all
and then after we both remembered something new.

so, i would say if you feel remembering something new is worth laughter
remembering old things
and like
potentially unknown side effects (???)
it might be useful!

it is really up to you though.

...so in your personal experience how bad are these fits?

well by the end of the day we weren't laughing any longer
it didn't even take a full half a day to stop
but basically if you do it i'd advise you to do it when you're not around like
people
so that your crazy person laughing doesn't make you look like a crazy person.

I appreciate the advice. I'll be scientific in my approach.

and yet i'm senior to a bunch of people now in terms of "have been here a while"
which means nothing effectively except that no you are not the only new one at all
there are lots of us

I believe "don't drink the water" and "don't trust the police or Thunder Corp" about rounds it out.

If this was a LARP campaign, I'm pretty sure my friend would have told me about it. And I'm pretty sure mutations aren't part of normal campaigns.

And you pretty much have jist of it, but you're missing the fact that we cannot trust the cops because apparently they are looking for suspicious behavior related to this network, the life-sized hair-monsters with claws like knives, the shadowy things that may be going on with Thunder Corp, and the suspicious abandoned mines that may not actually be abandoned.
