Emmanuel drove in with Julien, wearing an old pair of jeans and a dark shirt. This time he came prepared, with a 24 pack of bottled water in the trunk, a small backpack, first aid kit, bug spray, granola bars, and a flashlight with extra batteries. (plus a hard case to protect his new phone.) He also wrapped the surprisingly sharp blade of his silver knife with a kitchen towel and stuck it in his back pocket.
