[Oh, looks like Thomas is posting again. However he and the wall behind him look far less than good. He's pale, sweating, and the drawings that had been seen on the walls during his previous communications are ripped up. The room in general just looks like it's been turned over.]

I hate that water. Besides the migraine that ...

[He trails off, counting on his fingers and using the same hand multiple times.]

Jesus, around twenty something years’ worth of memories popping in your head gives you. I realized something. I called my brother after getting all that in my head and talked to him before looking at old posts I made on Facebook and other websites before all this started. I'm not me anymore.

All the drawings, all the cartoons I've been watching and all this. I didn't use to be like this, but these new memories are changing how I view things. I mean, I talked to some guy during my first few weeks in the club about how cute animal crossing characters were. I wouldn't have even touched that game before coming into town.

There's one thing worse though. From the echoes I've been getting, I realized someone on the network is from these memories. I'm not going to say who, but if they're who I think they are and more people I 'know' about show up, we might have other problems besides an alien invasion to worry about.

[Thomas rolls his eyes at that, but the implication certainly seems to worry him.]

One last thing before I go insane, we wouldn't happen to have any doctor's in the house would we? I think I'd like to try and deal with this please.

Yeah, it was always around the store, sitting on the boxes. It was bald and had a little suit on usually. I never really asked about it because ... well toy store and it sort of freaked me out.

[Thomas shrugs, dismissing Mort's claims otherwise as him just not remembering quite yet.]

I guess it doesn't really matter.

[Wait wait wait wait WAAAAAIIIIT something is not right here. At all. The only person Mort even remotely has memories of is his unusual dislike of that one detective, the man he inexplicably feels will ruin everything.

He'll reach down, and from the sounds of things, he's unlocking a desk drawer to dig something out. And he'll set a doll on the desk in front of him. It should look rather familiar.]

Yeah, that's him exactly. Or her? I don't know, the doll is kind of androgynous. Either way, yeah.

[Akagi nods, peering closer to his screen to get a better look.]

It'd just be around the store, on things. The last time I can recall, it was even holding a sign. I was in a hurry to get in and out, but it said something like "Hello! It's been a while!" It was kind of odd.

I...don't even know what it's supposed to be.

[Nor does he particularly care. It had been wearing a dress in that one memory with the fire, but he'd rather not focus on that...and it had come wearing the little suit anyway.]

Probably just part of a display, if you remember a toy shop.

[He still does not sound entirely convinced of all of this. Perhaps the doll was just mass produced somewhere?]

I guess? The shop specialized in Super Hero toys though and I can assure you, that little thing wouldn't fit in.

The person who ran the store did look and sound just like you. Same haircut and glasses even.

Yeah. You, that of the talking cat, and guy who could talk to fish were all used to kind of push aside my skepticism when I first found this place.

I think so. I'm not-- sure yet. I've only talked to them a few times. But it feels safe, even if I don't understand why.

I hope it helps. I don't think I've changed much aside from the physical.

I think we'll figure it out. It might be slow, but once we actually get some idea where to start, we'll figure it out.

Of course, getting started is the hard part.

Yeah. It looked like we hard a start there during that whole cave thing. Who knows how much of that was true.

So, what do you think of that whole "we're superheroes" talks that's apparently going around?

Then try to talk to them more. It might not be the most sensible thing, but it's something sort of familiar in all this at least and that's something all of us need.

I don't really see a way he wasn't you besides the clothes and the location, but I guess that's not what's really important right now. Huh?

[Thomas will always think it's you and he's now certain that doll is special. Just wait till he decides it's one of those monsters with a cute-ish form.]

Yeah, but ... wow this sounds like I'm giving up, but eventually I won't even realize anymore if this goes on. I barely noticed it this time.

We all change as we live out our lives. Maybe this is just a faster paced version of your own natural growth.

It's not really. Unfortunately that seems to be how things go when one begins to remember things as a Numbered person.

Things change, interests change but I believe at heart we remain the person we were when all of this began. ... I can't say for certain it will remain that way, of course.

[It's one of her fears.]

I'm going to... I don't-- know what will happen, but if anything more of those... Pulses of memory will be triggered by it.

I think the poor kid that started it has some really high hopes of using it to jump-kick her dreams. I think we're just a bunch of poor slobs that haven't a clue as to what we should be in this place and time.
