WAY TO INVITE HIM OVER AND THEN TRY TO UNINVITE HIM. RUDE.

[ … What? There's a long pause on Tristan's end and then a mostly bewildered— ]

You just told me to pick you up. [ Isn't that part of the terms and conditions of the deal? All in all, meeting Tyler at the coffee shop is a more agreeable plan, but the problem is, whether it's only been a few seconds or not, Tristan's already committed to a different version of how they'll meet up. Maybe it's stubbornness, maybe it's an inability to let go, but either way, he has a narrow-sighted mindframe, and he's convinced himself he doesn't mind this way, so there's no reason to change. Besides, if he drives and Tyler walks... how long will he end up waiting, watching other people drink coffee when he has none of his own? Hmph.

So deal with it, kid. He's already set the laptop aside and is on his feet, smoothing out the wrinkle in the linen of his pants. ]
I remember where you live. I'll be there in ten.
