Cutting his losses, paying the fine and moving on with his life right here, right now is always an option, but Tristan finds something... nice about the kid's willingness to go. Amusing that he has this backwards too and needs help again is more like it; yeah, that sounds about right. Anyway, there's a hint of a smile and a roll of his eyes before— ]

Go. Dress nice. Apologize. Often times, the judge will reduce the amount or dismiss the fine if you show up. Helps erase the irresponsible kid reputation and all. [ The justice system is extremely flawed – too lenient in some places and too harsh in others – and while Tristan doesn't agree that an infraction should be so readily forgiven, he's willing to shed light on a flawed process to someone who, probably, deserves to know about it. ] ... And chances are, your cop'll be too busy writing jaywalking tickets to others at that time, so it'll be an automatic dismissal.
