Show and Tell
Who: Anyone who could see this post, or who was told about it by someone who could see it.
What: Buncha reincarnated people with amazing talents show off their stuff in the woods.
Where: The woods behind Marisa's house.
When: The middle of the night
Warning: underage drinking references
Behind the Kirisame residence, there was about 3 square miles of damp forest that were undeveloped for reasons that had to do with Locke City's supply of drinking water. It is filled with mushrooms, mud patches, creepy trees that look like monsters when silhouetted by the moon, and birds that call out unexpectedly. In other words it's creepy as hell, and not a terribly enticing vacation spot. In the middle of that was a particularly large tree that was visible from all over, especially when it's dark and someone has set up a campfire at the base of it and supplied detailed directions on how to get there.
Marisa has done exactly this, and is sitting on top of an ice chest next to a little fire pit she put together at a large, dry area around the bottom of the tree. The cooler contained some sodas and juice and the like, but it also contained a six pack of beer and a bottle of rum. It was about time for people to show up, assuming anyone had listened to her.
And why wouldn't they? She knew it was a cool idea!
[[After a few people have shown up, I'll start a thread of Marisa getting shit started, and then everyone who wants to show off their powers can start their own subthread within that. Even after this point more people are free to continue starting their own threads of whatever. This is sort of a mingle post as well as a tactical meeting.]]

On spotting Marisa, he raises his hand in a wave and turns off his flashlight. "Perfect spot for a secret meeting, very nice!"

"Ain't it? I found it just a few days ago and knew that we had to use this place for SOMETHING."
no subject
"Uh. Hey."
She's a little put off by there not being anyone present that she knows (it's not like either of these chumps would be someone she's sniped at via text or anything, that would be silly), but she tries to disguise her uncomfortableness with a sassy hairflip.
It completely fails to dislodge the stick.

Because this is easier than jumping into the first thread . . .
It was a fair distance from his house, but he found the place without any trouble. The campfire definitely helped. So did the laughter in a couple of familiar-sounding voices. He'd ask what was so funny, but that seemed like an invitation to crack on how he apparently had no sense of humour.
"This it so far?"
Greetings were for losers, clearly.
I intended for everyone to start their own threads!
"So far. Thirsty?"

OK, it worked and all, but he's not in a hurry to repeat the experience.
He gives a little wave to the people already there, and checks out the cooler. After a moment, he decides beer, despite the appeal of having something he's not supposed to, would be a bad idea, and takes a soda.

"Hi."

He wished he'd thought to write it's a vision thing, I can't help it on a nametag or something that he could wear when he saw other people from the secret network in person. He was getting better at hearing the repeating-sounds deal, but hadn't found a way to keep himself from doing it.
"I know I talk funny, nee. My actual power-zuh are cooler."

He's sitting not far from the cooler himself, water bottle in hand. "Hey."

"Hey. I, um. Didn't ex, exactly have time for an introduction, duct-shun, in the caves. I'm Alex."

He's just so slightly late - in part watching for some sign of Kenji, in fact - to realize that Alex is already there, as he's approached and beginning to settle by. He hesitates aside a few more seconds so as insurance not to disturb anything, or cut in on someone else - and throws a scan one way and back over everyone around the fire to be sure - and proceeds, with a little haste - he is glad that he accepted!
"Alex..." he stumbles out to handle greeting. "Was it -- easy enough... for you to manage...? -- To - reach -- this..."

"Thanks for the invite. How are you doing-ing?"

She fished a beer out of the cooler and cracked it open with a hiss. "So who want's to go first?"
/RELUCTANTLY STEPS UP TO THE PLATE...
"Me! Me me me me! Me first!" She raised her arms in the air. "I'll need, like, an assistant or whatever. But me first!"
Everyone feel free to just start more sub-threads in this thread. We'll all go at once.
"Alright, what do I gotta do?"

So he just shrugged and took a drink from his water bottle. "Well, I've got two, so whenever I go, you guys can take your pick on whether you wanna see the cryokinesis or the maybe-teleporting first."
He didn't have a particular preference for what order he did them in; all he had to do was make sure he braced himself for being nauseated when he demonstrated the latter ability. There would be no embarrassing puking incident here, thank you very much.

"Okay, kay, so. I've only done this with someone scaring-ing me, but I don't think that's, like, ness, necessary to the process. You guy-zuh should probably stand back. 'cause if it works, work-suh, I'm about to have a really sharp tail."

She did take a step back though.

Closing his eyes, he concentrated, fists clenching at his sides as he reached inside to the kaa within. "Diabound!" he shouted, one hand dramatically raised to the sky. "Come forth!"
There was a rush of energy that seemed to bloom up from the ground around him, tousling his hair and clothes but nothing else around him as a giant creature shot up behind him. Half man, half snake, he towered above Bakura, passing through trees and branches as if they-- or he-- weren't even there.

"Holy shit!"

[Before the event of the evening begins!]
It was in part an exercise in fearlessness which he knew again he could and would afford, and had to and in part one in morbid curiosity, roughly equally. Both sensations spurred the same. In light of what the result had been on past occasions, he was rather aware that it was in turn partly morbid curiosity indulging itself.
He approached the fire - blinking and squinting a tad on first entering the radius of the glow - and slowed to a stop, one hand grabbing the wrist of his sword arm behind his back, looking over to note and account for everyone who'd taken a place.

"Nice cutlery. Why don't you put that away for now?"

But logic had no part in anything that he did, if he were being honest.
"Boo~!"
And just to be safe, he made sure to duck out of range of that sword. Just incase there was any reflex that came with it.

Pardon him, he has issues.
The hit points simply dummy themselves back in, Bakura! ...Out of MAGIC. 8|
He might buy that explanation :D
Don't ask it to occur to the one on whom the terminology is lost!
Also, feel free to hop over to where Diabound was summoned, since I finally replied there :D
I certainly shall within the evening~
