The Central info post

Description: A minute after midnight EST, some people around the world who used to be numbered yet have lost their echoes since suddenly have all their pulses returned to them.

At 4pm EST, a child's laughing voice resounds in the air all around the world, remaining for over a minute and staying longer where it gets caught in the echo between buildings, mountains, or other echoing surfaces. Not long after, people in areas where the moon is visible (like those in Europe) will see pink lights on the moon, like a pink aurora borealis from above going all the way around the moon, and then the whole moon changes shape. Literally. It unfolds into a giant serpent that soon can be seen from everywhere around the world as it moves to wrap around the world, tossing and turning head and tail as if trying to hit and bite nasty flies. ...And if someone gets out a telescope, they'll realize that the serpent is doing exactly that: There are tiny spaceships attacking it and trying to pass by it, but for now it is holding up. ....You might maybe rather get to safety than get your telescope out though, because the serpent sometimes smashes down into the earth in its tossing and turning, and while it doesn't hit inhabited areas that still causes tsunamis and earthquakes. Giorgio A. Tsoukalos and Erich von Däniken will announce that it's totally aliens!!! SEE THEY CALLED IT. Ancient astronauts that gave the earth culture are coming back to us!

What this day is for: This day is mostly for reconnecting with returnees and dealing with the last wave of plot echoes. It is also for catastrophe relief efforts for areas that are hit by tsunamis or earthquakes. The only echo boundary that will be devastated in this way are the Galapagos Islands. Characters that can fly or have special swimming abilities are especially invited to help with rescuing people and delivering first aid. (Icly, the talks with the first wave aliens also happen here and they will be wrapped up or dropped after the 4th of May. You are still welcome to jump in and talk to an alien!)

How this works:

- Day 1 does not have any alien encounters past those in this log.
- There will be no toplevels on this post. Please start your own threads freely! Please format the subject line like this: "Location(s)/Network | ota/closed/etc". Please keep in mind that each character may change location twice per day (=a maximum of three different locations) and that the moon/space location is still off limits on the 1st Day.
- This post can be used for both network and action threads.
- Keep in mind that returnee characters must have checked in and must request their echoes if they get any.
- Please direct all questions to this thread on the General Invasion Guide
- For the returnee registration, please go here.

[Jovan's eyes takes up the entire screen at first. It takes a few moments, but eventually he leans back so that the rest of his head is visible. Behind him, a massively huge pile of little plastic bags filled with what looks like weed.]

Guys. Guys. Oh my god.

I figured it out. I figured it aaaaaalllllll out.

I'm the queen of England.

[the screen turns on, showing Amy wearing a black and orange pilot suit and attempting to look as professional as possible]

Ah, hello. A lot of you probably know me by now, but... I have something I need to bring to everyone's attention. We have a lot that's going on right now, and a lot of danger is definitely headed our way. We have to be ready to face it... and I know that some of us out there may be Numbered who don't have a means of fighting back. People who don't have special powers or abilities, but want to fight by their friends' sides...

[Amy pauses and takes a deep breath before continuing]

Haro... pan outwards.

[there's a quick acknowledgement from Amy's cameraman, and the view expands to show that Amy is standing inside of a hangar. Standing behind her are numerous magneta colored mobile suits.]

I have a way for us to join the fight. They were found in the orbital elevator, and we moved them across echo zones via the Ghost Zone. You can call them the GN-XIII, and I can show people how to pilot them. They're of the same basic technology my brothers and the others used to pilot. I can't promise everyone will become amazing pilots overnight, but... I can help you join the fight. I can help give more people a fighting chance against... against whatever's coming.

Obviously, I would prefer to extend this opportunity to people who don't have special powers. It'd be... extremely superfluous to give them to people who already stand a fighting chance. If you want to throw your hat into the ring, we'll be testing these and I'll be giving pilot lessons in the Lapland area.

[ooc - so, hey! Like Amy says, this is an opportunity open to Numbered who don't have special powers and want to be able to fight in the days ahead. I discussed this with Kira and the whole thing is good to go, so if you'd like to throw your character's hat into the ring and they'd be a good fit for it, here's your chance to pilot a giant robot! Amy's from Build Fighters, but the basic concept of piloting a machine is the same, so she can show your character the ropes. The capabilities of each machine are described in the link above.]

Who: Feivel and/or Nat and YOU
What: Just opening doors from the ghost zone into places and then?????
When: First half of April, pick your date!
Where: Anywhere!

Exploring the ghost zone is great. It's a weird and new place and a certain set of siblings is having a field trip. Most of the time, they're together, but sometimes they split up or one of them goes alone.

They peek out through almost all doors that they find, unless Nat's Force senses tell her that something bad is behind the door (and then sometimes Fe opens it anyway). Maybe they look out at a street where your character is just standing, but maybe they open a door right into their bedroom too, or something else entirely...

((Please make a note in your subject line regarding if you want to encounter Feivel or Nat or both of them))

[Someone has found her way into the ghost zone. Nat shows the network a shot of floating rocks and some ghostified sparrows hopping among them.]

Why aren't more people going through these um warp holes? They should be mapped. "There are flying weird animals sometimes" isn't a good keep-out sign, if you ask me. Besides, most of them are harmless.

[She yelps! -One flew too close and startled her.] -Just annoying.

[The boy that peers into the feed is a bit scrawny for a fourteen year old and dressed in a jumper that reads "To Boldly Invent What No Man Has Invented Before". He adjusts the camera of his laptop so that it lets him sit comfortably before speaking up.]

Judging by what you're saying on this forum, you have found a way to travel between far away places easily and quickly. I have a number of questions concerning this.

[He taps the pen that he is holding against a notebook a couple of times - a habit from having to wait for the full attention of those that he is talking to.]

One, how is it done?
Two, how much time does it take? I have two weeks off school now and my parents are on a business trip, but there's this guy checking in on us every evening at their request, so I have a maximum of approximately 20 hours to travel or he will notice that I am gone. [And yeah, he looks a bit sour at such a limitation.]
Three, what places are accessible?

[A pause, and then he nods.] That would be it. [What is "thank you" and why would you need it.]

[When Feivel appears on the teleporter's platform, he still has a hand up, flattened out as it was just half a second ago against the sigil of the pub's wall, head turned to look to the side in the hopes of nobody having seen him sneak past them towards the sigil but fearing that someone will spot him now.

He almost falls forward when the wall is suddenly gone and there is only air, and stumbles out of the teleporter, catching himself only after a moment and the backpack over his shoulder almost dropping to the ground.

But he manages to steady himself and looks around, quick, sharp glances, trying to figure out his surroundings.]
