In case anybody was wondering--or hell, even if you weren't, I guess--the stuff you get back from those pulses, or whatever the hell you wanna call them? Looks like you can't get rid of them. I couldn't, anyway. Crap just keeps coming back like that stupid cat in that stupid song. So anyway, yeah, just FYI.

No. I was kinda afraid to, to be honest.

I think I'm actually more surprised about the precaution than what you thought would happen. It's probably not dangerous then, right? What you got back.

Well, kind of! [ And you knew it don't front. ] I guess something as simple as a jacket can feel a lot heavier, when you think about it. What did you try to do?

Am not. [Libel and slander!] Tossed it into various dumpsters a few times, then when that didn't work, I wrapped it around a bowling ball, stuck it in a bag and chucked it off the pier. Took it about a week, but the bastard came back. It's a determined son of a bitch, I'll give it that.

How many times have you pranked the school? And you're not even a senior! [ A simple equation: dish soap + quad fountain = ? ] But wow, that's crazy. Do you just find it places, or does it show up on your doorstep?

When I wake up in the morning, it's just...there. Draped over the back of my chair. Laughing at me.

They probably appreciate that, too. ...I can see why that's unnerving though.

Yeah, it's like something out of the Twilight Zone, or something. I think I'm just gonna hang it up in the back of my closet. Maybe if I ignore it long enough, it'll get bored and go back to wherever the hell it came from.

But hey, instead of talking about your possessed jacket, maybe this'll be more up your alley. There's a big carnival happening on the pier later this month. Or well, it's more like a giant beach party.

No, not so much. But the beach thing sounds like a definite improvement. At least we won't have to worry about a damned cave in out there.
