[ He looks thoughtful ] There was something else... Oh! Yes, folk in the Art Community might recognise me - Benedict Galleries, is, indeed, run by me. We're always looking around for new pieces to show, and I'm hoping to do an exhibition around here too, one day. So! Any budding artists, I'd be glad to chat! Arnold has been around on the streets of Locke, sketching. His Doppel is doing much the same, but where Arnold's works, although sometimes melacholy, are usually ones of beauty, his are full of pain. He walks and he draws, and might be found anywhere, drawing whatever comes to mind.

[ Arnold pauses and eyes her thoughtfully ] Say, have I seen you around? You look familiar - have you been by our gallery in New York, maybe?

Fairly recently, yes. Though, I may have looked a little different then.

[There's the large bat wings on her back for a start. Also, she's got some bat themed earrings.

She may have tried to drag her boyfriend along too.]

Oh, well then, a pleasure to see you again, miss! I do apologise I'm don't think I ever caught your name. Did you enjoy the exhibit?

Got permission, of course, for saying Arthur York was with her.

I certainly did, as did my boyfriend, to my surprise. I don't think he's ever been to an art exhibition before.

Ah, that is good to hear. I do try and find things that will appeal to the wider audience. Perhaps you will be able to use it as a springboard to get him to more!

I hope so. I've been trying to teach him a little culture for a while now. Ah, I'm afraid he'd be lost without me.

Well, perhaps he knows better now, eh? I am sure you will be a fine teacher. Are you an artist yourself or do you just enjoy looking?

Perhaps. I don't think he went on field trips to places like this when he was in school. Anyway, I'm not much of an artist, really. I prefer to look.

Nothing wrong with just being able to look and appreciate!

[ Arnold nods ]

Yeah, I think a lot of places don't really do that, which is a shame! Art is meant to be shared, I think. I paint for myself, but I paint also so that other people can share some of what I see and feel also. If I run an exhibition here, perhaps you can persuade him to come!

That shouldn't be hard... All I need do is flutter my eyelashes and he comes running.

[Perhaps she's a bit manipulative of Arthur, but at the same time she loves him a great deal.]

Wrapped around your finger eh? [ Arnold chuckles - he's like that with his wife, himself ]

Well! I will have to make sure to have the very best pieces only for that exhibit!

I'll be sure to bring Arthur along, then. He is a bit rough around the edges, but... I wouldn't have anyone else.

I am glad you have found each other! Here, tell you what. I'll do a piece for you and Arthur, eh? As a surprise for when I get the exhibition up. You can bring him along and it will be a surprise!

[Emi is both surprised and actually a little touched as well as being quite taken aback in general.]

That would be... very nice? Hmm, perhaps you'll need a reference to work from?

I will, yep! It wouldn't be anything big mind, just a small portrait, of the two of you, maybe? Something cute!
