[ If there's any better way of dealing with hard times than escapist shenaniganry, Octavia certainly doesn't know about it. Let's be real - the real motivation for this trip is the partying. And the lack of responsibility. And the drinks and snacks.

Still - finding the mystery bird monster ahead of time would be rad. In pursuit of this, anyone who meets up with octavia at the start of the day will be given an Awesome Adventurer's Kit (tm) - a small package consisting of a shitty two dollar compass, a notepad, a pen and a poorly-made swiss army knife.

Those things could be useful, okay. God. ]

Museum, morning-ish

[At least one person is doing some research. Rakka was at the museum, looking at old exhibits and artwork, and scribbling down whatever she thought was interesting. The winged girl honestly looked tired, but she was still doing some work.

Every so often she could be heard mumbling things to herself.]

[There is definitely someone else doing real, actual research. That would be this unfortunate soul, who is also out at the museum between trips to the library for information on specific topics. She's keeping a close eye on anything unusual, looking for themes, searching for common animal links... there's a lot to review, and help would be lovely.

Once some time's passed, she's looking to relax just a little bit, though - she's found a beret somewhere and a croissant, and she looks like she's forgotten this is definitely not France and doesn't really care.]

[ Research? Marina? No, Marina is not doing anything remotely useful, unless you consider eating useful. It really isn't. She is, however, enjoying herself, happily trying all sorts of new and weird and wonderful foods and Vita Cola and stuff like that. ]

CAMPSITE

[ This isn't an organised or officially-sanctioned campsite. It's a field. With some tents that Octavia brought. There are also flashlights, a modest supply of alcohol and some snacks. Make s'mores! Raid other peoples' tents! Trip over things while getting up in the middle of the night to use the non-existent bathrooms! Regret your life and your choices! ]

OPENNNnnnnnn, late afternoon/early eveningish

[ If you're looking for Octavia, she isn't here. There is only a field that seems to be empty except for a wriggling pile of tentpoles and canvas.

The pile is shrieking and swearing. And occasionally letting out glittery blue puffs of pixie dust.

[ Tents and snacks and what? Marina's already laying into the beer. Marina is legal to drink here and she is finally getting to do it without the paranoia of getting in trouble, except for the obvious threat of a hangover looming on the horizon if she gets out of control, and alllll that just ends up with her tripping over a tent pole and laying on the ground laughing later that night. ]

End of the night and a lot of the campers have wandered off to their respective tents and Raye was among the last ones standing, though at this point her activity had basically dwindled down to sit in front of the drooping fire and... drink... more.

Finally, after nodding off for the fourth or fifth time she's jolted to a bit of awareness when the bottle drops out of her hand and spills over.

"Fuck." She mumbles to herself. Okay, maybe it is time to crash.

Grunting she sways miserably to her feet and wobble walks over to the tents. Only one of those was actually hers but right now they all look alike. Who cares, she just wants to lie down... and so she just kind of picks one, struggles with the zipper on the tent flap for a second before managing to get inside and... flop over onto the air mattress within.

It's not her tent at all.
