[Nora has pushed several tables in the ice cream parlor together and is sitting down enjoying a sundae. She has with her a list of super powers and a small stack of comic books. She waits until everyone else has gotten their tasty frozen treats before standing up like this was some kind of board meeting.]

Okay! Now we're ready to get started!

I think we should begin with a classic. Super speed! Anyone remember being faster than a speeding bullet or able to outrun trains or something?

[Nyah's been mostly silent throughout the round table discussion, in part because she really doesn't care too much about pulses, and in part because she's slowly working her way through a pretty respectably sized sundae with every conceivable topping piled on. mmmm, sweets.

If she was I don't remember it yet, but I'm psychic in this lifetime so it wouldn't surprise me too much.

Do you tell fortunes?

Not like palmistry or bone reading or anything, usually. It's not really my field of interest and I'm still in training.

[plus it's pretty easy for people to get taken for a ride with those kinds of things when someone decides to get flashy, and that never sits right with her]

But I do a lot of quartz gazing and omen interpretation. It's good practice.

[She's visibly disappointed about the lack of palmistry and whatnot. Then again, she is exactly the type to get taken in by that sort of thing.]

So what's quartz gazing? What does that do?

It's when you enter a meditative state and use a nice piece of quartz as a medium to view visions of the future. It can be really useful once you're skilled enough at it.

And does it really work? Have you actually seen the future?

Sure, plenty of times. It's a lot more difficult to see actual snapshots of the future at my skill level right now, but I've gotten readable omens pretty frequently.

I'm not really all that interested in either of those, so I don't really look too much into them when I gaze. I did a little reading for someone I met on here recently, though. Does that count?

Sure, although I don't think that I could do any scrying here. It's too packed with people's energies, you know?

Yeah, I can do it whenever. It's good for me to look at specific people every now and then - it gets me prepared for when I start my apprenticeship.

Mhm. After I strengthen my spiritual awareness enough, I'm going to go look for a full-fledged shaman and apprentice to them so I can learn the trade.

Eurgh, no. [she wrinkles her nose in distaste] I'm probably going to specialize in exorcisms and then I'll travel around cleansing people in need.
