Video - Late Friday Night
[The video flickers on to a close shot of a dark-haired woman's face. It's possibly you might have seen her face before, on the ad at the bus stop, or model that new dress in a magazine. She usually appears to exude pure confidence in her photographs, but right now, she doesn't look confident in the least.
If anything, she appears to be a bit apprehensive.]
I don't know if this is the right place for this. [She runs a hand through her long, black hair.] I'm not even sure if all this is real.
[Her thoughts flicker to the newly-formed scar on her chest. She shakes her head, as if to dismiss the thought entirely.] What am I saying? It had to be real!
[She forces her lips to curl up into a small, tight-lipped smile.]
I'm Misato Katsuragi. I don't remember any of my past life, but I'm hoping that someone out there might be able to tell me more. If that name or this face mean anything to you, I'd like you to call me. My number's 555-736-7360.
[Her smile widens now. It's certainly more genuine than the smile a few minutes before -- and relaxed, too.]
Hope to hear from you soon!

Um...I think calling a stranger from here like that might be kinda weird...

[Should he risk telling her and her possibly asking to see the picture? He could easily just...not. Lie and say he remembers her some other way and she might ask what she was doing in the memory. He could always let her remember him and pretend he'd never known anything.
He's already responded to this, though...]
But I don't really know much about you from back then, so.
Re: video
But then Shinji opens his mouth to speak. And what comes out of it, she can't believe. Her eyes immediately widen, her mouth drops. It takes a moment before she's actually able to push the words forward.]
WAIT! You actually know me?!
video
W-Well...I have a picture. And some stuff with your handwriting on it, I think.
video
Oh, an autograph? You must have been pretty lucky to get something signed by me. I don't normally do things like that, so I can't imagine things were all that different in my past life.
[Yes, she's already making assumptions about the life she lived way back when.]
video
[He's starting to blush now. Oops.]
The writing on the picture said I was supposed to wait for you to come get me...? I don't know why.
video
Come to get you, huh? There's no telling why with that little info, is there? Though I guess if that was all scribbled on a photo, the two of us hadn't met yet.
[Why else would she send a photo with that message?]
So, what's your name?
video
[Of course, "Shin-chan's room ♥" implies that they lived together or something, but...]
Re: video
Well, it's nice to meet you, Shinji Ikari.
You think you can show me those papers sometime? I'll even give you a new photo to replace the old one!
video
[He would probably die of embarrassment if he showed her the picture, he thinks. His sister already gave him so much shit for it and here's the woman it's a picture of.
Maybe if he coughs up some more details she'll get distracted.]
The paper is a sign from a door, I think. It just says it's my room...
video
[Terror suddenly crawls up Misato's spine and traces itself across her face.]
You don't think I'm your step-mom, do you?
[The only thing keeping her from thinking she's his full-on mother is the note on the photo. Either way, the thought's still terrifying. She never once considered having kids!]
video
[For multiple reasons.]
Um. Sorry about how weird all of this is?
Video
Is there any easy way to get our memories back? There's got to be a way for us to get to the root of all this and get some concrete answers.
[Misato lets out a weak laugh.
She so doesn't want to be a stepmother.]
Video
[That's just going to make her want to ask more questions though, isn't it...he's sure Rei or Asuka could talk about that stuff better than him.]
There's um, four of us who were already here and remember the same stuff, by the way. Including me.
Video
[Misato's going to get to the bottom of this, so help her, god!]
Video
[Sorry Misato. You're fate is to be a babysitter.]
Re: Video
Did... did all of you know me?
Video
Video
[Then, there's an awkward pause; Misato looks like she's on the verge of saying something. It takes a half-minute before she finally manages to push it out.]
If I really was your stepmother... I hope -- I hope --
[She stops right there.]
I'll be sure to let you know.
Video
[For what? He's not exactly sure.]
Good luck, I guess? Um, finding out what the others know about you, I mean.
