So, I have a couple questions for you guys, and they're kind of important.

[She frowns a little.]

Big, giant, number one question is this: am I gonna get a computer virus for putting that number into Wikipedia? I mean, I'm kinda renting this computer, and while I don't mind crashing Wiki, I'm pretty sure a lot of people are going to mind that very much.

[Maria shrugs, looking a little guilty. Mayyyyybe she shouldn't have put the number in her friend's laptop...oops.]

Second question, was that weird pink light normal for you guys? 'Cause it's kinda unusual for Las Vegas.

[The girl pauses for a second. She's missing something...oh, yeah.]

I so called this happening. No, you're not gonna get a virus from this and the pink light is the most normal thing that's gonna happen to you. Welcome to the Network, mind the aliens.

Oh, good, then I won't have to tell my friend, "Oops, I accidentally got a virus on your computer and now you have to wipe it."

[She grins.]

Aliens? Cool. What other abnormal things should I expect? Please don't tell me crop circles. That's not only lame, but really unimaginative nowadays.

Let's see...possible physical transformations, random murderous pencils, hairbrushes, and mirrors, weird memories coming back that are from your past life, aaaaaand possibly giant evil stone snakes but I'm hoping we're past that bit.

[She raises an eyebrow.]

What's this about giant evil stone snakes?

Y'know that disaster that hit Locke City a few weeks ago? People are saying it might've been an earthquake?

Yeah, it wasn't. It was a giant stone snake bursting out of the ground and wrecking the place.

[Maria blinks.]

So...that earthquake story is basically a cover-up? Or did the snake story become public?

[He shrugs]

I don't think the snake thing is public, though there are pics and videos of it floating around. I think most people just assume it was a quake.

Huh. Okay. Glad I missed out on that action. I don't think my arrows would've done much against that.

So, what about this past life stuff?

Exactly that. Surprise, you've been reincarnated and have to go around getting your memories of before back. Or, y'know, skills and items and physical changes and stuff.

Arrows?

[Now she looks a little uncomfortable.]

Kinda hoping that doesn't mean we stop being who we are now, but...guess we'll see what happens when it happens, right?

[Discussing archery is definitely something that can cheer her up, though.]

Yeah, arrows! My archery instructor told me I had serious talent with it the moment I touched a bow, but I dunno. I think there's more I can learn on how to use it, but he said he wasn't going to be able to teach me anything I don't already know or something.

Too bad you're in Vegas. One of my pulses was being really freaking good with a bow.

Really? Well, if we meet up somewhere, then we totally need to compare skills, right?

[She grins.]

I've been teaching myself recently to start moving while I'm aiming and firing. It's getting a little better each day, but I've been working on it for over a week.

Right now? Crazy. I mean it was crazy before but it's even crazier right now, though it's starting to die down some finally.

So, giant stone snakes are considered the craziest Locke has ever gotten? Maybe I should just stay in Vegas. At least I know the crazies around my neighborhood.

Speaking of, group of Locke guys are making a road trip to Vegas, actually, to check out the light and see what's going on. I don't think I know any of 'em, though.

[Maria only hopes it doesn't get worse, but she has a feeling luck won't be on her side for that.]

Sweet! I'll keep an eye out for them. Maybe I can give them a tour of the city or something. Well, unless they're just going to take a sight-see trip to the casinos. I can't take them there.

[He snorts]

Nah, I think they're going to check up on things and see if anyone in Vegas got numbers. Which, well, obviously they have.

[Maria shrugs.]

I dunno who else would have numbers. Couldn't even give you a guess, but I'd definitely bet I'm not the only one.

[She tilts her head.]

I mean, that's saying you guys can't track these numbers. Can you track them?

Not really? I mean, your number's yours and when it pops up we can go "oh hey Maria's saying something on the Network" but otherwise...
