[open] Hospital schenanigans!

What: Getting a check-up and dropping off some clothes for Dani♥

[Closed: Phillip | nearby park]

[ Just like her last trip to the hospital, once it's done Sam requests to be taken to the nearby park. It takes a bit of convincing for her aide Jeremy to humour her after the recent goings-on in the city but eventually he rolls her out to more or less the same place as last time so she can get some fresh air.

Unlike last time though he's hovering nearby to keep an eye on her, which makes Sam sigh. Her life. ]


[Closed: Danielle | Dani's room]

[ Guess who's here just like she promised! With a bag of new clothes in tow~ Of course Sam's still being pushed around in one of the hospital's wheelchairs by Jeremy but she said she would drop by and she is going to do this. It doesn't take long to figure out where Danielle's room is since they're both more than familiar with the place; it's just a receptionist consult away before they're directed to the right wing and Sam leans over the edge of her chair a little to poke her head in the door to make sure she's not come at a bad time and all that. ]

Danielle? [ Please don't be on another adventure missy, you just had an episode. ]


[OPEN | Hospital Lobby]

[ And for the rest Sam can be found sitting in her chair in the Hospital's main lobby now that her first appointment's done. Physio is next but until then she's got some time to herself while her aide deals with some administrative stuff! And of course she's got her 3DS out, playing some sort of rhythm-based game! Because this is what hermits do. They play video games. ]

[She shifts closer to the edge of the bed, and moves over to hug Sam.]

[ It's a little difficult because of the difference in height between Sam's chair and Danielle's bed, but Sam flicks the brake on to hold her steady as she lifts her arms and returns the gesture with a sombre expression...

Until a familiar wave of unease and lightheadedness hits her and she flinches, images and feelings and sensations rushing through her head--an Echo. ]

--... [ She tries not to show it, but the memory throws her off and she's caught up in it just long enough for her to come back to reality and realize she's clinging to Danielle, tears slowly leaking down her face. ]

[It was pretty hard to miss, the sudden change in her grip. For a few moments, she thought she had upset Sam that much. However, when she noticed the tears, she started to worry that maybe it was something else.]

Sam? You okay?

I-I...I'm sorry, [ she sniffs, trying to pull away and lean back in her chair so she can lift the heels of her hands to her eyes and wipe at the wet blips. ]

I d-don't know why, I just.... [ "Why does it feel so warm and fuzzy?" ]

[Danielle sits up straight, looking concerned.]

N...n-nothing, I just... [ Sniff, hic. ] I don't know. All o-of a sudden I was s, sad.

[Danielle paused and looked guilty.]

I'm sorry. I....I shouldn't have....I've just been kind of out of it, sorry.

N-no, that's not... [ Sam straightens and runs her hands over her eyes again, sniffing. ] I...I think i-it was just an echo. It's okay Dannielle.

[Oh. That...that was actually a relief. High emotions, trigger an echo. That's far better than just her being sad making Sam this upset.]
