[ Several days have passed since the snake rampage in the Business District. Eugen is finally well enough to do things without having his body screams back at him in pain. The toll of piloting a Gundam is certainly not a small matter and he's already regretting the lack of physical regime in his life. One round in the Gundam is enough to have him experienced several months worth of exercise and that is not something he's keen on repeating.

But today there's something else more important than checking out gym membership. ]

If anyone of you encountered a grey and white giant robot during the snake attack, that was me. I apologize if I gave you a fright or injured you in any way. Let me know if you're safe.

I did not encounter one, but my friend did...
I must admit, the idea of a robot presence fascinates me.

Your friend did? Do you happen to know which one he encountered? Are they alright? Really, why?

[ It fascinate him too but then again, it's part of his major. Not that he's going to reveal that, he needs to stay under the radar to keep his scholarship. ]

No, unfortunately I am unsure. He did not seem to want to share many details about the incident, but he is fine now.

It is just that I have never heard of such things before. They sound as though they could be used for good.

It's good that he's fine. It must be quite an experience for him. Well, they do say "It's not the weapon that makes the man, but the man that makes the weapon.". While I can't speak for the rest of the pilots, I have every intention of using it for the good.

Yes, he had never thought that he would encounter such things. But I am simply glad that he is safe.

That is true. I certainly hope that the rest of the pilots have the same attitude towards it that you do; we could use all of the help that we can get. And I hope that you do not mind me saying that this will be a rather large advantage, literally and figuratively.

Me too. Please pass my regards to him nonetheless. You're right, this is an advantage and we're eager to make sure it remains so. Although, I have no idea what we might be dealing with in the future but I hope incident with the snake wouldn't be a common occurrence.

I have been told that such things are not common as of the moment, but they may become more frequent. That is what I am concerned about. We will have to ensure that we are more cautious than ever before.

Thank you too. Well, that's just good news, isn't it? More giant monsters. If that's why we're getting giant robots, I think they're shelving my lifespan.

How are things back in the station? Are you alright? Were you implicated in any way?

There has been increased pressure on all officers, and I believe that internal investigations are underway. For now I seem to be free from too much scrutiny, but I am trying my best to be as careful as I can.

I have not heard reports of any of the Numbered being in particular danger, either, which is a relief.

I'm glad. Stay low and be extra careful. I can't be sure what the FBI plans to do but so far, we're still safe and not rotting behind bars. I think that's a good indication. I hope so... To be honest, I'm more worried about any one of us being captured by Sherman. The entailing ruckus after the rampage was a good chance to snatch up some Numbered.

Right now, I believe that he is under pressure himself from other sources, so he doesn't exactly have the capacity to pursue the Numbered as he otherwise might have. That isn't to say he won't in the future, or that others won't take the opportunity, but he too seems to be currently under scrutiny.

I would think his personal force would be enough to mobilize if he wanted to...? Somehow I don't think he's the type to stop just because he's under scrutiny. From what I've heard, he seems to be an exceedingly arrogant man.

I cannot say that I have had enough experience with him to make any solid judgements, though I believe you are right about his arrogance. None in the department are safe from this scrutiny, which makes me wonder if he'll continue to act or simply bide his time. If it's the former, I would hope that would prove to be his undoing.

In any case, you should prepare a way out sooner than later. I don't know what will happen after this but better be safe than sorry.
