A light palette cleanser of humiliation before doom and gloom
Who: Lily and interested parties you know what let's just say anyone, because she clearly needs to suffer more.
What: The best laid plansActually no, no. It's a terrible plan.
When: February 14th, school hours
Where: Locke City High School
Format: Either action or prose is fine.
Warnings: The perpetual humiliation of Lily Tsukuyomi. Possibly that dreaded thing called emotions.
At some point or another, Lily had been brought to believe this was a good idea. Perhaps it was the sensation of confidence that came from being able to transform into Cure Moonlight. She truly felt like she could tackle much more than she ever believed possible. She could fight for the people she wanted to protect, she could fight to help anyone. The idea of a "superhero" still seemed very silly in her mind, but... She really felt like she could be something, at least, if that power was used wisely.
And even after days and weeks to mull over things, there was a certain something sticking in her mind. A feeling that refused to shake itself loose, and as it sat there and worked its way around her head, she knew it wasn't just going to up and leave. While she had gotten to where she could face that person without feeling like a complete idiot, there was still something undeniable in how she was starting to feel. It was almost worrying at first, but... She had started to realize there was something she'd need to get out if she was going to have any peace of mind.
Accomplishing that was another matter.
Facing it head on felt as if she was just asking for a disaster. She knew better, there. Mind you, in the back of her head she felt as if this would only lead to disaster and heartache afterwards. (How could it not? It always did.) For someone who talked so much, when it came to this... Speaking it was a different matter, and she needed to be as articulate as possible.
Thus, where her verbosity and several nights locked away in her room with pen and paper in hand came in.
Walking into school that day, she felt more than a little stupid, hiding this letter in her bag. She felt dumber and dumber still, as she zeroed in on the locker of one Winter Adamas, looking for an opportunity when she wasn't there, to approach it and... get cold feet, promptly retreating.
Repeatedly.
Over and over again.
Throughout the entire day.
[ooc - So, simply put: Lily is trying to deliver a Valentine's letter. She repeatedly fails to work up the nerve to actually do this, but after awhile of continually going there and falling back, she might look more than a little suspect, skulking around in a very un-Lily-like fashion. I had long since poked some interested parties, whom I shall ping into here, but because I am a masochist allow me to just make this open because there's a metric ton of characters in this school.
Note that if backed into a corner she will probably just straight up flee. There will be a concluding thread because this does have an end result in mind, but I'll run everything parallel. Because again, I am evidently out of my mind.
Thus, feel free to approach (and maybe throw in a GENERAL time of day) and see her awful attempts at weaseling out of this.]

Afternoonish during a passing period??
He noticed Lily hovering around on his way in, but thought nothing of it. When he closed his locker and looked up to see her still hovering at the opposite end of the hallway, that was when he started to wonder if something was up. She seemed a little out of sorts.
So obviously the thing to do was approach her and casually ask, "Hey, Lily! Is everything okay?"
no subject
She straightened her posture, quietly tried to compose herself, and turned to face Russel. Maybe she could at least escape one friend with her dignity intact.
"Ah, Russel... I'm, well, fine?" she said, and forced a smile. Perhaps too obviously. "Why... do you ask...?"
Though she kept herself from stammering like an idiot this time, she still drew out her words a little too much. Choosing a little too carefully.
no subject
"Well, you've just been standing in this hallway for a while, so I was wondering what was up." Play it cool! He could figure this out as long as he refrained from pushing too hard too soon.
no subject
Okay, okay. Keep it together, Lily. Just because he was wondering "what was up" did not mean that he had you pegged as clearly as some people.
She reaches up and pushes her glasses up, glancing around. "I was just... looking for someone. I guess I just missed them."
no subject
He glanced around the hallway, as if the mystery person might suddenly reveal themselves to satisfy his curiosity. "...Oh, hey, isn't Winter's locker around here?" he realized. It was a totally casual realization, completely unconnected to the idea of Lily waiting in the hallway, but to someone with a guilty conscience it may not have sounded so innocuous.
no subject
She laughs very, very nervously and starts to quickly backpedal down the hall. "O- oh, so it is! But she's not around, so, haha, I'll... I'll just check back around here later...!"
Because letting on that this had anything to do with her was such a spectacularly great idea, Lily.
no subject
Was she...retreating? "Uh... I'll...let her know you were...looking for her, if I see her?" he offered, uncertain. If she was just waiting for Winter, why was she acting so weird about it...? There wasn't anything strange about waiting in the hallway by your friend's locker to see them.
no subject
Let Winter know. That Lily was looking for her.
Because that couldn't end awfully, or anything.
She suddenly shakes her head, waving a hand furiously. "N- n- no! THAT'S OKAY. I- I'll just... t- text her! Or... something! No need to trouble yourself!"
A sharp, nervous laugh, and she suddenly spins around walking off at an excessively brisk pace. "I'll... ah, I'll see you later, Russel!"
She didn't quite run, but she got back around that corner as fast as she could.
no subject
He stared after her, utterly baffled by the speed with which she'd bailed from the conversation.
What...just happened here...?
