[ Heck yeah, cookies! Aria's actually apparently a competent chef. Who knew? ...Then again, she does live alone with her sister and trades off cooking meals, so it's probably easy to guess for anyone who knows her.

For her part she may or may not be doing something telekinetic for a certain history teacher because of a promised demonstration, but will otherwise be cheerfully speaking to anyone she recognizes (or anyone she doesn't, sometimes).

She'll have a few cookies herself, and probably try anything anyone else brings. Why not? ]

Nobody told her this was a fancy catered affair, okay? Still, she's not above sampling the baked goods. Mmm, cookies. She spots Aria quickly.]

Well, if it isn't Aria. Didn't know Danny had drafted you, too.

Well, I've helped him test things out before...like the city limits, back before they changed a bit.

[ They'd gone to an amusement park outside of the city. ...That totally counted as "testing the city limits", okay. ]

And anyway, I thought the whole intangibility thing could be fun! You thought so, too?

You have, huh? Glad somebody's working to figure this stuff out. Me, I just hate getting kept in the dark.

That and I can't help but feel responsible for you kids. Teacher thing.

And who knows? Maybe I'll need a hand if I get superpowers.

I think we're pretty good at lending help to those in need on the network.

[ Or, well, they look out for their own for the most part. Same difference. ]

[ Sheila, Aria's sixteen...she's heard it before.

But hey, she won't mention a thing, just grins. ]

Well, let's see - how about a cookie?

[ That seems random, until she points towards the refreshment table. Aria starts to glow red, as does one of the cookies.

She floats it over to them without any trouble at all, and catches it when it reaches her, then taking a bite. ]

[Maybe so, but it's a bit of an ingrained censorship around anyone younger than twenty.]

[She claps appreciatively at the demonstration.]

Okay, that? Definitely useful.

It's pretty much the most useful thing I got back, although my boyfriend can lift more than I can at the moment.

[ Like five hundred pounds, while Aria can do...whatever she can lift herself naturally.

She'll get better at it during the snake meeting. ]

Man, I never thought I'd be living a life straight out of a comic book. Not everyone gets powers though, do they?

Not everyone, no. I know people who haven't, at least. Though the people I remember tend to be psychics of some degree, so I assume that was A Thing with whoever I used to be.

[ Psychics with weird blood colors. That's them, clearly. ]

Ugh. Psychic powers. No thanks. Hope that's not what I wind up with... no offense to your friends.

[Because she couldn't really care less about what inane things are going on in everyone else's brains.]

None taken! I mean, they're all different ranges...I know a guy who controls animals, and a girl who can control people. All I can do is move stuff and listen to, um, I guess the voices of the dead?

John! Hello, how are you? You're right, it has been a while. Holidays and finals and things.

[ Shockingly, the world doesn't stop when aliens invade.

Especially if no one else notices the invasion. ]

I'm fine, thank you. Second heart is behaving and it's soon been a month. Good sign. What about you?

All right. I mean, my blood change doesn't seem to have done too much to me.

[ It's close enough red that blushing doesn't make her look particularly alien, so. ]

Mostly I've just been working on school things and trying to help out here and there where I can. Like with this.

Same here. I only wish there was more I could do, but I don't have any special powers.

Just telekinetics, here. Same level as last time.

I think trying to help out where you can and keeping up to date on all the shenanigans is actually pretty useful, though.

Between school and this I barely have time to sleep sometimes, honestly...It can get hectic.
