[Voice]
[Backdated to the 12th. Julien doesn't have his phone on him, but he was conscious and able to use his nail to scratch his number on his forearm, so - skin-based audio, how novel! He's not at his best.]
I got shot. ...I got fucking shot in the chest. Yesterday, when they hit the clinic. And I've never really... I've held a gun before, but I didn't... ugh I know you all, not all of you, lots of you think these other- these other guys are you but I'm telling you, I'm not. I don't go oh I've been shot, better pretend I'm totally fine and - and flirt, and shoot people and be really stupidly cryptic. 'S not me. Wasn't me. God...
[his breathing is audible, rather deeper than human breaths but, just now, harsh and fast. He gets it to slow.]
Nothing sounds right. And I smell like bread and have like a fever, and there's this weird lump on my back someone needs to look at. Because I obviously needed to grow... things. Yeast lumps. Turn into a baking monst... look, I don't know. Just someone come tell me if it's pulse-cancer or a- something else.
And someone feed my birds. ...Please. I can't go out there right now. [muttered] Sorry I'm complaining so much.

Well... here goes nothing.
[He pulls up a seat by Julien, staring very intently at the injury. It's strange; he's never tried to use his healing power before now, but somehow he just knows that it's begun to take.
Julien will find that, quite magically indeed, the wounds all begin to heal. The fluid will slowly leave his lungs, the bruises will fade, and the dead and peeling skin will vanish in favor of the new. Overall, he'll simply feel healthy again.
...It might not be the exact healing he expected, but there you go.]

It's very fine, but the patterning on his hands and feet is now like tiny pebbled scales. In general his skin is very thin and soft now, like frogs' skin, but more waterproof. Healing is not becoming more human.]
...Well. Am I still hot? Guess that's not really a fever. - ah, thanks. I'm glad we have healers around.

There was... a girl, wasn't there? He used to heal her. She always wore so many bandages, but even when she hurt herself even a little, he would heal it for her.
...Just who was that?]
--Yeah. Actually, that's the first time I used it.
[The words are hesitant - not only is he trying to reorient himself in the present, but the dizziness hasn't quite faded yet.]
I'm just glad it really worked.

Hey, you okay? Here, sit down. [Now he peers into Akito's face, notes his heart rate, considers.]
First time, huh... So you didn't know it'd be like this.
no subject
[But the dizziness does stop, and he just shakes his head. Maybe it was just because he got that memory so suddenly?]
I think using it just got me another pulse.

[Julien starts buttoning back up, stops, and puts a hand to his lower back, just below the level of his navel. His fingers come back slicked with some kind of oil.] ...ah. [Softly] Guess this was too much to hope for anyway.
no subject
[...But he can figure that out later.]
What happened?
no subject
[He rubs his fingers together. The oil slicks them but eventually starts to turn to wax, white and semisolid.]
Ah, well... practically every pulse I get makes me less human. [He shakes his head. Healed or not, Julien still seems somehow shrunken and at a loss.] My hearing's changed in the attack, I'm still figuring that out - and my temperature and skin. So there's like... this big zit on my spine that keeps oozing.
[and Julien looks up. He feels like maybe he shouldn't talk about these things.] Which I'm sure you wanted to hear, huh. Sorry.
no subject
[Probably? But that was an awful lot of bandages, especially for such a little kid...]
...Great. I definitely needed to know that.
no subject
Yeah, I thought you'd like it. Considering the results, I appreciate being tested on! I'll be glad to leave. Are you going to stop by the bird house today?
no subject
[It's not like he's a little worried about how the birds have fared or anything, but...]
no subject
[He smooths his dyed nothair back with the clean hand.] I got someone to take in more food, but I worry about the water freezing over in the cold. You know?
no subject
[...He's back to "we" again. Like he's part of the group.
...Geeze he stinks at this.]
Want me to go check on the way back?

[Seriously, he could do without getting mugged on top of everything else.]
Anyway, I'm gonna borrow the bathroom again. No need to attract even more attention to myself.
no subject
...Thanks again.
no subject
[Well. It is kind of a problem, but like he'd say that.
Once he's got his contacts back in, he'll give a short wave before he's off!]
