011 ♦ Video | Backdated to Tuesday afternoon
The Winter on the camera looks... well, a lot of things. Humbled, scared, alone, tired, and a hundred other things. But for now... she's free. And that's what's important.
"H-hi, everyone... I'm... well, I'm out of jail. They... took me in f-for getting in the way during the r-raid at the school. I'm heading home... this was a t-terrible experience. I-"
She doesn't get any farther; everything starts to shake. As it happens, she's far too close to the epicenter of the earthquake, outside, without any of her usual precautions because Raquel has her phone. Understandably, she screams, in fear at first but with a sharp squeak after a moment. She goes down to the ground, and she's moving and crying, but she's not getting up. Is she hurt...?
The roar subsides after what seems like hours, but is closer to a minute or two. Whatever was recording her - probably either her Kindle or the small mirror she'd had from the last expedition - fell to an angle where she can still be seen and heard; she's curled as tightly as she can, but one leg isn't as tight as the rest of her, and the ground is riddled with cracks of various sizes. And when she starts to relax after everything stops shaking, she shifts enough to cradle her right ankle. "I think I sprained it... damn..."
Seeing she's still being recorded, she crawls over to the camera, picking it up. "I know it's a b-bad time, but... can someone help me? I'm... on my own out here."

[But like hell he isn't going.] I'll find a way to get there.

Thanks. I... I don't want to be any m-more of a pain than I already am, but...

You got hurt. Asking for help isn't being a pain. How many times do I have to tell you to quit being an idiot?
[The words are said in a rush, and he terminates the connection before she has a chance to answer. He's as careful as he can make himself be, only slipping into and out of his speed ability when he's sure no one will notice.
[It still takes him several minutes to get there, and when he finally comes out of his ability for the last time, that sixth sense of his bombards him with the heightened energy of people in a panic. He's going to have a headache later, but he tries to narrow his focus. Look around. Find the most prominent energy.
[He finally spots her, and hurries over to kneel at her side.] Hey, quit moving so much. You might hurt something else.

[She's still surprised when he seems to zero in on her from some distance away, but the pain from (what she hopes is only) her ankle is a bit distracting as she rolls to face the sky.] That w-would be... just my luck.

Anybody who can heal on their way? [If he can't do anything useful, he can at least mention something useful.]

[Admittedly, aside from her own powers and the few things she sees demonstrated, Winter tends to forget her friends are "special" in the various ways they are.]
Would... it b-be better to go to the hospital?
no subject
[[Since Toushirou really couldn't.]]

[She smiles, ever so slightly; this was more than she'd been expecting, honestly.]
I'll m-manage. Don't... drop me. [Her voice is as light as she can make it, given the circumstances.]

[[he reaches back so she can grab his hands for him to haul her up. It's a bit awkward since he's really never done this kind of thing before, but he's pretty sure he's got this]]

Hospital's closer.

[Fighting through it, she manages to get herself under control long enough to move where she needs to be, and Winter finds herself hoping beyond hope Bakura can actually carry her. And wondering if it would be a good idea to go on a diet later, just in case.]

[[Despite appearances, Bakura actually is decently strong. Once Winter has a good grip, he leans forward, resting her weight on his back before tucking his arms under her legs to support her and carefully getting to his feet. It takes him a moment to find a good balance before he carefully starts walking, still leaning a bit forward to help her stay on]]
Lead the way, Captain~ [[there was a gentle tease in the title. But most of Bakura's focus was going to be on making sure Winter was secure on his back and that he wasn't going to trip on something like an idiot.]]
Oh. Right. Can you bring my bike so some idiot doesn't make off with it? [[he nods in the direction of the discarded mountain bike he had all but jump off of]]
