Why would I echo back a whip, and does anybody know how to use one without seriously injuring themselves?

I have one, too, and I managed to use it really well when fighting one of those snake statues. But since then, not so much.

I inquired about the possible use of a collar I received, and our peers were less than helpful. It was a little frustrating. Er, as for your question, in my opinion the most likely reason for obtaining a whip from an echo would be that it's supposed to be used as a weapon...or maybe an accessory. Perhaps you were a cowgirl in a past life!
