So... I know things are pretty rough right now, but... Well, I've suddenly found myself with a lot of free time and not a lot to do. I figured I'm not the only one who's had to stick to staying indoors recently, so...

Are there any shows anyone would recommend? Bertholdt has Netflix, so even old stuff is fine. Any good shows this season?

Nono, not those titans. These titans are... well, there's a bunch of us who have memories from this world with giant monsters-- those titans. They're like 15 meters tall and uh, well there was a war against them.

Some of us fought for the good guys, though.

And for some reason that she cannot pinpoint this all is really interesting to her.]

That sounds like it was a pain in the ass to find weapons big enough to take them down. [She leans back, props her feet up on the seat in front of her and looks out of the window for a moment before she adds:] Could those echoes bring one of them here? [She doesn't really know how these work, but some people do seem to receive items, so why not monsters...]

Y'know, I haven't really thought about that... I sure hope not, since the bad ones seem to eat people.

Plus, the way to kill them was actually with this weird specialized gear... A lot of wires and zipping around to get 'em in just the right spot. [ He scratches the back of his neck just thinking about it... ] I think they were called 3D Maneuvering Gear. Not everybody could turn into titans, after all.

You mean the so called "good ones" don't? Are you positive that they are the same species?

If you know about that gear, that seems to imply that one of you has it.

I don't really get how they work, just that I could transform into one. I think I could transform, anyway. I remember being human, but I have memories of being a titan, too.

That's right. I know of at least two people that have it. I tried it out myself and I remembered how to use it, like I'd always known how.

Is your boyfriend one of them?

[Tell me who they are, that sounds like useful information, also what is that off "at least" in there. Are you not sure about some other people, or are you keeping it vague for some other reason and if yes, for what reason...

She really hopes that there is nothing similar in store for her, she definitely cannot afford any obvious changes, not now while she is still under the custodianship of the administration. It looks like it's happening differently this time. I'm not 100% sure that this didn't happen to me before, obviously. I haven't remembered it all.

At least it doesn't seem to be a common condition, if there are only three or so people affected by it.

[Because she'd rather not get any obvious physical changes out of this whole numbers deal. A girl is just trying to get by and live a comfortable life, why do things have to be made complicated by those things that she never asked for...]

Just me and him, I think. But yeah. I wouldn't wish this on anyone else...

Does that happen to people with other prior backgrounds as well? Changing in ways that cannot be hidden by normal looking means. [like sunglasses or hats.]

I've definitely heard of a couple people. Stuff like wings and sharp teeth... It's not as uncommon as you'd think.

[ Or maybe Ryan just knows the wrong people. ]

Yeah, of course. I'd say most people don't have any sort of change, otherwise we'd be in trouble with the cops a lot more often...

Is there a lot of trouble? Why?

Lately they've been cracking down more. I don't think anyone's been taken in, but it's definitely getting more dangerous with the bombing and everyone on edge.

And no traitors have cropped up yet?

[That sounds like something that would happen easily on a network like this, with lots of strangers and people with little emotional bonds to everyone else, and a quite real danger, uncontrollable and unpredictable. One would think that people would try to be on the authorities' "good side".]

People who are found with connections to the network end up either "missing" or dead, it seems like. I wouldn't think anyone's been dumb enough to risk that. They'd be the smartest, dumbest traitors ever.

So they have, for all appearances, so far stripped themselves off the possibility of gaining a spy.

Sure seems that way. You'd have to have a deathwish to try.

Let's hope that is obvious to everyone from the beginning.
