So... I know things are pretty rough right now, but... Well, I've suddenly found myself with a lot of free time and not a lot to do. I figured I'm not the only one who's had to stick to staying indoors recently, so...

Are there any shows anyone would recommend? Bertholdt has Netflix, so even old stuff is fine. Any good shows this season?

What, world saving not taking up enough of your time?

[She's not serious, more trolling. The network as a whole seems like a bad copy of every secret group of teenagers saves the world movie that has ever existed to her. So far, it has been not more than idle entertainment to her.]

Nope. When I'm not saving the world, I'm watching movies with my boyfriend and planning a Halloween costume around my new monster face.

I heard The Beauty and the Animal was a good option for that.

[Colour her curiosity picked, though. "New" makes it likely, at least since they are talking through the numbers, that this guy got the "new monster face" through those so-called "echoes". Sure, he could just have had a bad accident or some skin sickness, but that would not quite fit the picture of him "suddenly" having a lot of time. Considering that the whole wording doesn't imply that he is home for being too sick to go to work. And the voice sounded old enough that he probably is of working age.

So if it really is a monster face, what kind of thing could have happened that cannot be explained away as body mods? Unless his job doesn't permit those, then... well, too bad.]

Ouch. [ His face is that bad though, so he's not even gonna rebuke it for that. ] Well, that's one idea...

I dunno if Bertl could pull off a dress, though... Plus we'd have to get it in his size, and that'd be a whole other problem. Kinda late to order a custom dress, huh? He's way too tall.

I think that should be possible, give me a day to ask around. No promises on the style, though.

Sure, that one character in the No Panic In The Galaxy books just put a bird cage on the additional head, but that isn't actually gonna work with real people... Not that she hopes that additional heads are a thing with those echoes. That would be much more troublesome than anything she can imagine. Most things could, at least in her line of work, be explained away with body mods. But additional body parts...?]

Yikes, no. Nothing that bad. Titans only have one head, thankfully.

You're becoming a Greek god? [She doesn't know any particular amounts about mythology, but when they had their first history classes in school, most of the kids in her class including herself would reenact most of the interesting things.

And the battles were just the most exciting. titans against later gods, Spartans against everyone, Romans against Carthage, and so on.]

Nono, not those titans. These titans are... well, there's a bunch of us who have memories from this world with giant monsters-- those titans. They're like 15 meters tall and uh, well there was a war against them.

Some of us fought for the good guys, though.

And for some reason that she cannot pinpoint this all is really interesting to her.]

That sounds like it was a pain in the ass to find weapons big enough to take them down. [She leans back, props her feet up on the seat in front of her and looks out of the window for a moment before she adds:] Could those echoes bring one of them here? [She doesn't really know how these work, but some people do seem to receive items, so why not monsters...]

Y'know, I haven't really thought about that... I sure hope not, since the bad ones seem to eat people.

Plus, the way to kill them was actually with this weird specialized gear... A lot of wires and zipping around to get 'em in just the right spot. [ He scratches the back of his neck just thinking about it... ] I think they were called 3D Maneuvering Gear. Not everybody could turn into titans, after all.

You mean the so called "good ones" don't? Are you positive that they are the same species?

I don't really get how they work, just that I could transform into one. I think I could transform, anyway. I remember being human, but I have memories of being a titan, too.

That's right. I know of at least two people that have it. I tried it out myself and I remembered how to use it, like I'd always known how.

Is your boyfriend one of them?

[Tell me who they are, that sounds like useful information, also what is that off "at least" in there. Are you not sure about some other people, or are you keeping it vague for some other reason and if yes, for what reason...
