comparative_insanity: (I've looked behind all the faces)

Video | There's a highway that is curling up like smoke above his shoulder

[Fay is looking a little bit uncomfortable, to say the least, like someone who has just received the biggest scare of their life and is still just a bundle of over-tense nerves. Which is exactly what's wrong with him.]

Okay, so... I just remembered something really freaky in one of those weird flash-things that happen.

You know how everyone completely forgets about everything that's happened to us if we up and leave town? And how some people - like my own sister - just randomly forget their numbers and everything else?

[He chews his lower lip for a while, pushing his shoulders up as if he's cold.]

Well, uhm... I've got this memory. About this girl. I remember her face and her name - Sakura, by the way - but the only other thing I know about her is how she kinda used her memories of a person to pay for something important. She gave them all away, and every time she started to remember about him... she'd just sort of space out and forget again.

[He hesitates, as if what comes next is the worst part, but then decides to push on.]

And the reason I remembered was 'cause I was meeting up with my sister, and we were talking and then- then something happened. She just went all... I can't even explain it, except maybe like she'd had so much weed that she wouldn't know whether to check her ass or scratch her watch.

And trust me, my sister ain't the kind of person who'd so much as touch drugs, okay?

So that made me wonder... maybe there's a reason for people forgetting. And maybe there's something that keeps 'em from remembering again.

[A brief pause, and he seems to forcibly shake off his discomfort with a small shrug-like motion.]

In other news, if anyone, uh... happened to interact with my great big dummy of a boyfriend while he was drunk off his ass? If he managed to say... you know, something that came off pretty bad, it ain't as horrible as it sounds. He ain't some kind of boyfriend-beating monster no matter what dumb shit might've said, alright?

Yes, I'm not surprised it alarmed you.

No... A lot of people struggle with it, it seems.

Gaining new memories isn't particularly pleasant either.
