Open Action ;; Voice [Phone]
OPEN ACTION;;
After priding herself on being such a good, punctual student, what's the first thing Audrey manages to do? Run late for class, that's what. She was fairly bouncing on the tips of her toes waiting for the train to reach the right station, then dashing out the doors as they opened along with everyone else.
If one runs into the young woman today, it will definitely be somewhere on campus. Her schedule is a little packed. Her first class is in classical violin work, though the other few are all basic freshman introductory courses. She will be making it a point to not only have lunch at something of an appropriate lunch time but to also stop by the library later in the evening. One can find her in the library mingling chiefly in the fiction sections and musical sections but eventually she'll drift to more religious and philosophical topics.
AUDIO;;
[Evidently this little leak onto the network was intended to be a voice message left for someone else, at least at first. This is what happens when you get a voicemail and forget to save the other number to your phone before you try to reply.]
Don't worry so much about me, I promise I'm fine. It wasn't that much of a fall, you know. I'm only going out for class today so I shouldn't be out too late. Try not to take those news reports so seriously, unc--
[A pause. It seems the speaker has realized their mistake with a low sigh.]
I suppose that's what happens when you have a number stuck in your mind.

( audio for now i may action you later )
Did you get hurt or something?
( audio )
[Mostly because of how she reacted to the trip. One moment she fell and the next it was this sudden, rushing sense of deja vu that had her sitting stock still as she tried to place it.
She pauses there. So many people talking or texting at her. This is definitely some sort of network. There's curiosity in her tone.]
Everyone has said that so far. I haven't been listening to them myself but my uncle has. ... Are they really so bad?

There's a way to read the backlog, if you want. But it's not so pleasant.

[As to the backlog, her tone fades from curious to serious.]
May I ask how?
no subject
[ Granted, that wasn't his number, but it didn't change the fact. He pauses, as if he's mulling. ]
And yeah, like deja vu. But deeper than that.

She pauses in her steps in the midst of campus.]
I tripped over a few boxes when I was moving and fell. The fall itself was too slow though. I'm not sure how to describe it other than that. I simply knew I should have been falling faster.
[Her tone dips further, a murmur, almost distracted sounding.]
Nothing below me but a canvas of lights. I couldn't stop myself. And if I didn't manage to stop myself...
[Her voice dies off and then she lets out a breath slowly that she hadn't known she was holding. There's laughter then, soft and awkward.]
That isn't too weird, is it? I get the feeling there ought to be more to it than that but I'm not sure what. And just when I think I remember the rest, it's gone again.

It's quiet in the library, but he still strains to listen to the quiet cadence of her speech. Imagine the feeling of vivid weightlessness, of having the earth pulled from underneath his feet, unable to stop, when the outcome would have to end in... ]
And then you felt it, right? That feeling like a heartbeat, like that's all there is inside you. Until you realize that what rushed in to take its place was important to you, somehow. Not like something new that you were given, but something that you were missing.
[ Like it was something returned. A piece that threw all the rest of them out of order.
What he leaves out is the uncertainty that initially accompanied it, that sent a chisel and hammer to the foundations of his life which he had no clue were so fragile until they were broken. ]
I'm the same way. No matter what I try to remember on my own, it doesn't work. [ Though serious, a smile seeps into his voice. ] So if it's weird, it's weird for the both of us.

A very accurate description, yes.
[That said, she laughs a little.]
I won't say it's good to not be alone in the feeling but it certainly makes me feel better to know it's not something simply odd about me.

[Though she mostly left simply to have some sort of a life really.]

[ Though if anything, that bit of information has caused him to perk up, even with only audio to go by. ]
I know this must seem like a weird welcoming committee, but if you ever wanted a tour around, I wouldn't mind. [ ...Now he hopes he hasn't come off like a creep, because this network wasn't exactly the most normal of venues. He quickly amends: ] I mean, I've lived here all my life, so... it might be a nice distraction from all of this.
Or homework, if you have a lot of that.

Not a weird one, no, though you could give a girl the impression of a pick up line fairly easily.

[ Banagher just blurts it out, even when she's already accepted. Usually he has zero problems talking to girls, what is this?! ]
ok done.
Mm, I go there, but it's just twice a week for entry level courses. I have an engineering lab on Tuesdays, and calculus on Thursdays. The rest of the week I have classes at the high school until noon, and I work at the public library around that.
It's a lot less busy than it sounds, though. ...How about you?
